      Thanks! In hind sight it wasn't too bad. There's just one nut behind the engine that was a pain to get off. I think the engineer who designed that knew it was his last day on the job.

    Thank you for this video, I got my heater core out today. Mine is a 1998 Ranger, but everything was the same. Mine has a V8 transplant and that made the one behind the "valve cover" a major pain.

      @ValleyMobileAutomotive I was told that the V8, transmission, and trasfer case were all pulled from a 97 Explorer. However, I think the transfer case is actually from an f150. All that transplant happened before I acquired it.

    • @ValleyMobileAutomotive
      @ValleyMobileAutomotive  2 месяца назад

      @@JimFrentzel I would start by checking for power at the blower motor. It should be a simple positive and negative at the connector. It's best to use a test light. If you use a voltmeter you should see 12 volts with the fan on high.

      @ hi again- so one question. Once the AC and blower motor box has been removed- there’s one wire that connects the AC box to the fire wall. The connector looks like a small white box with “jelly” like tubes over the wires. I can’t imagine how to remove this without disturbing the “jelly” like wire covers. Have you seen this before? I can’t fully remove the AC box until this wire is disconnected

    • @ValleyMobileAutomotive
      @ValleyMobileAutomotive  2 месяца назад

      @lucascraze1880 I'm trying to visualize what wire you're talking about. It's been so long I can't remember 😕. Do the "jelly" tubes look like bullet connectors that can come apart?

    There has to be an easier and less expensive way to get the heater core out! Darn engineers! I think they deliberately design them to force people to see mechanics that has the proper equipment. They wanted $700 dollars to do this. They don't have a payment plan because no one pays them!
