Why are British Pundits so salty about a big player leaving the Premier league? They treat Bayern as though its a common club. The disrespect they show to Bayern is staggering. Bayern is a massive club. I am glad Kane doesn't see it the way these guys see it.

I agree with you. Bayern is one of the biggest and most consistent clubs, winning trophies and also being top 5 over the past 50 years. There are not many clubs to be counted within this league. Only because they win the Bundesliga every time doesn't mean the league is that bad, it only shows how good they are. Also always having the potential to win the Champions League isn't common aswell. FC Bayern is one of the biggest clubs all time, so you guys please don't act like it was a bad decision or that much of a impossible move for Kane and Bayern!

Everyone? Why do you think the world's best athletes keep going while they're at their best? It's to keep breaking records.
Why did Ronaldo come back to United? To pass the PL 100 goals tally.
Records are more important than trophies. Any trash player can win a trophy when they're in a good side, look at Anderson at Man U.
Nobody will remember some dude winning a trophy or two, but being a record goalscorer for your country or league? You'll be remembered forever. Shearer retired decades ago, only won 1 trophy (I think) and yet he's still talked about and regarded as a premier league legend.
I'm happy Kane finally gets a trophy but jeez, trophies aren't everything in football like you armchair fans think it is.
Kane will be able to win some deserved trophies and still come back to the Prem and break the record though.

Big respect to Harry for actually taking such a big step and going to Germany and playing in a completely different environment. I didn't think he would have the guts to do it when the rumors first started circulating. But he did. Most English players in the EPL would just sit in their comfort zone and collect paychecks but Harry going to Bayern shows that he isn't afraid to take risks and also shows his ambition and winning mentality. Always find it amusing how anyone thinks leaving England andbthe Premier League is such a terrible thing. There is this mentality that if you don't play exclusively in the Premier League you are automatically taking a step down. This is the reason why English players really struggle in other leagues because they become incapable of adapting to anything but the english way of playing. It also seems acceptable for all the best players in the world to move here but not the other way around.
There is this fixation on a record too but many players would actually like something to show for there time rather than a record that one day be broken. Because we do seem quick enough to forget every record before the Premier League started except for overall league titles for some reason.

I am geuinly perplexed by the English media's increased fixation on the PL Goal Scoring Record. I understand Kane is the England Captain and it is a major loss for the league. However, Bayern Munich are a powerhouse. He can win trebles (in addition to potentially winning at international level). If we go by certain pundit logic - Kane should retire from England duty to focus on the goal scoring record to ensure its well padded as well. And surely we must reconsider where Alan Shearer stands in relation to Messi, Maradona, and Cryuff - All three never played in the PL, so clearly Shearer is the better player. I suspect if he moved to Real Madrid, the reaction might be different. Perhaps an Anti-German/Bundesliga/Bayern Bias? And certainly if Man United or Liverpool were involved, the takes would be entirely different.

First, I can totally understand that they are disappointed/sad about Kane’s move to Bundesliga. Premier League lost one of the best strikers in the world and Tottenham lost their most important and loyal player right before season start. I felt like that when Lewandowski moved away from Bayern to Barca, so I can imagine the pain. But pls stop talking down on his decision to go to Bayern like it’s some ass boring mediocre club. That’s disrespectful. When Ronaldo moved to Juventus (who were dominating the league year after year at that time too), I don’t remember people talking down Ronaldo’s move as much as Kane’s move to Bayern. And Bayern has statistically been way more consistant in the champions league than a team like Juventus (no offense). Just objectively speaking

I don't understand this English Elitism. Im an Italian and im not the biggest fan of German football, but Bayern are a powerhouse. There is this dislike I have noticed from PL Pundits towards German Football. Bayern is a huge international club who has won more CL titles than any PL club with the exception to Liverpool in history. Bayern is iconic. They have one of the best coaches in football right now and player who the majority start for their national teams. Bayerns league isn't the Bundesliga, it's the Champions League. That is the expectation. That is another level of expectations too and they have a good chance of winning it.
