Oh man -- these plastic knobs -- they destroy the nice looks completely , so bad ... a shame !! 20 years ago i had an Onkyo integrated and it was all metal, all knobs where metal , just really great quality ! For a 10th of the price of this Luxman --- why oh why can they not come up with something suitable ? The same for Accuphase -- also - the little knobs only plastic 🤬😡💩
I was considering the 507 but just found out its been discontinued this year. Now I need to decide between 505 or up my budget to 509? How is the 505 with bass and vocals for rock music
That's something that doesn't matter, is just a marketing thing for lower tier products to look more appealing. You can be curious, but don't judge a amp by that spec.
@@AudioThings Crossover distortion can be a real and audible thing, but variations in modern design combined with great engineering can make this not important as you’re saying. But I still wonder. Just the same, most systems don’t really live in that higher wattage zone except for big peaks.
You buy for 7000 dollars and knobs are plastic oh my god luxman. There just have to be a reason to buy the more expensive model. OI think for that kind of money thats just showing hi end you wanna be cheated. buy something in wallmart with plastic knobs too

Great amp 👍🏻
I like the way you explain.
Great video! I have this unit----I'm thinking of using the pre-out to add a power amp. Have you tried this and if so, what amps have you tried?
hi, which DAC do you use with Luxman
@@Maninthesky19 Hi---I have a Marantz ND8006 which has a really good DAC and Wifi streaming.

@@unklecorky2181 Bass is excellent on mine---depends on your speakers. It's nice having tone controls and a loudness button on the remote.
Do you feel the unit lacks power?

Awesome
How much of the wattage is dedicated to class A?

The plastic knobs ? You mean metal knobs that cost 18 cents more make it sound better 😂
looks like a beast, no loudness button?
why would you want one?
@@drplot1 Agreed! Can't stand loudness.
The loudness button is only on the remote.
Lixman runs at (Japanese) 100V, you need a step down Transformer from 110V to 100V ?
Actually yes but they also have this model Power supply - 230V~(50Hz) / 115V~(60Hz) so adaptable to either voltage.
@@con6164 More like, it's build for the market where it ships, like every other product that officially sells in that respective Country/Region.
Magnifique ampli
Very nice Integrated Amplifier, Question does this amp have blue tooth?
No you use your tooth to play it?
