12:18 this was after Akito visited Kureno and Tohru at the hospital and started actively thinking about changing, so right before the curse broke (cause Shigare already had the scratches on his face when his curse broke).
But he didnt have the scar when grabbing breakfast with Yuki (unless he time traveled to sunset and get scratched by akito) The timeline is messed up, because everything did not happen on the same day in the manga
To some FruBa fans, please don’t hate me, just stating my opinion. Thank you. The Kyoko monologue made me cry so freaking much😭😭. I know a lot of people have a problem with Kyoko and Katsuya but when they reunited in heaven, it made me tear up in the manga. In the anime it was sweet and the line “You fought well” like damn. Kyoko definitely wins BEST MOM.
@@Kattleyah I get that it's a delicate matter, but I honestly think that things must be contextualized...in the end they saved each other and she was happy with him, so in another situation I would have had a problem, but not in their case.
The scene where Tohru dreamed of their future life was included in the manga as well but surprisingly a lot of people didn't notice it while reading this part. I didn't see those panels until I reread for a couple times either. I'm glad they kept it anyways, I suggest you to reread ch. 135 to see those panels because they blurred Kyo here but he can be seen with his ring clearly in the manga panel, which is so adorable.
YEYY FINALLY! 🤩❤️ Funny enough, I was thinking the same, if they shown the backstory for Kyoko the ending would've been 100 times more emotional. I still cried my eyes out!
The scene with Akito and Shigure was before the curse broke. In the manga she called them before Tohru was released. And you can see Shigure's injury when the curse breaks (so that scene is before) Agh, I loved so much the scene of the "future", with Tohru imagining their married life (shame they didnt show clearly that Kyo also has a ring like in the manga) Wow, Kyoko's scene breaks your heart. Imagine if you actually knew Kyoko's life and her love story with Katsuya (for anime only). Again, what a job of the voice actors. I think everyone MUST read the manga after finishing the anime. Just to know about Katsuya, Komaki, and so many small stories we didnt see in the anime Spoilers In the next episode, we'll see Kyoru's granddaughter, like the manga, or maybe we'll be lucky and see Hajime?
I'm happy they didn't do the back story of Tohru's parents because I didn't want to cry. Btw that was the only part of the manga to ever make me cry. HOWEVER, when I watched this episode, I teared up a bit when Kyoko laid there dying but I bawled uncontrollably when that music played and Katsuya came toward her. It still affects me, that was a beautiful scene. I'm going to cry again!
This episode and episode 6 were the ones that I just sat there afterwards thinking “God I can’t wait for Flora’s manga differences video to give me some vindication”

About the scratch she gave Shigure, it had to be before the curse broke, because when it took place, it zoomed into Shigure’s face and the scar where she scratched him was there. I remember, because I was wondering how he got the scratch marks.
Yea i was about to post this. There a small rumor that maybe there was different animator so they didn't catch the fact that either it should be day time or shigure should have a scratch at the begining of last episode cause otherwise yhe time of day doesn't make sense...
This episode was so precious, but I really cried at the very end. I thought I was going to make it through this one without sad tears, but seeing Tohru's mom, that just wasn't going to happen
I think, as a BASICALLY anime-only (read the manga years ago but forgot almost everything about it), this was the first episode of this season that TRULY felt kinda off pacing-wise to me. The sheet episode also felt rushed, but this was different because I kind of felt this time like things weren't being covered as well as they could've been? I agree that last episode was perfect, but part of me also feels like seeing Yuki's curse break THIS episode almost cheapened it a little bit, by not including him with the rest. IDK. i still love this anime so much and I'm NOT READY FOR THE END!!!
Omg. I held back so much tears!!! I feel like, if they added her mom's story before the death scene, it would have been sadder lol. But. It was still good.... I'm not ready for it to be over 😭😭😭😭😭
Remember? They cut the first part of Akito and Shigure's talk here when she was saying she wanted to end it all before the curse broke(ch 128). They just started showing from the "present" thing. It happened probably on the same day she went to visit Tohru since she had the same outfit, so before the curse broke but since the changes are so abrupt in this episode people (especially anime only I think) can't point out the correct timeline. Shigure had the scar when the curse broke so this happened before that for sure. However the transitions are very sudden, we got 3 scenes from 3 different chapters put all together one after another. And they skipped a lot, the parts we have seen are all beautiful but it lacked fluidity, they weren't well connected. Timeline is messy. However the last part with Kyoko killed me and elevated the thing so much. I bawled my eyes out. For sure, being a manga reader and having waited for literally more than 15 years to see this animated, I'm not very happy to see these parts crammed together, but this is what we got, we can't do much more than accept it and enjoy. Next episode's description is all about 136 but I'm pretty sure they will put something from the skipped chapters too if Rin's expression during Akito's meeting was any indication. But I feel it's rushed and I wish it was not. Loved your reaction as always!
this episode feels a bit fast but the last scene.. and I thought I cried like a baby last episode... the scene with Tohru with the ring is in the manga. You have squint your eyes to see it. I just wish they made Kyo's ring more apparent in the anime tho, because he was wearing one in the manga too~ XDD
I think because i was blocking out the manga from my head in this episode I liked it a lot especially the Yuki and Machi scene. I know a lot of people are confused with the timeline because of Shigure's scar, I tried to wrap my head around it but I'll just let it go for now. Kyoko scene almost got me, I was worried for this scene though, I thought it would have been more impactful (also for anime onlys) to have seen her backstory first. But at the end of the day the episode was beautiful, the animation, voice acting, background, everything was just super good. I can't believe this series is ending, I just can't.
They crammed so much that the timeline is messed up. Did Shigure travel through time after eating pizza and nuggets to get scratched at sunset? AND then came back with the scar when the curse broke in the afternoon? 🤣
@@heavymetal1ization It is, but it messes up the timeline in the anime because technically Shigure should’ve gotten his cheek scratched before sunset, not during sunset.
I really wish they had shown us Katsaya's face in that final scene!!! But at the same time I absolutely ADORE the way they animated it with the sunglare obscuring his face. Very clever and visually stunning 😍💖 I think they may reveal his face at the end of episode 13. The final panel in the manga shows a photo of Katsuya, Kyoko and Tohru on the shelf

Manga readers, I will love it if you will interact here. 🙂 S P O I L E R They didn't include this in the anime, but the driver who hit Kyoko was the dad of Kakeru's girlfriend. That's why Kakeru is always (or maybe not always) asking about Tohru because he was there with his girlfriend when Tohru and her grandfather, if I remember correctly, paid their respects also to his girlfriend's father. That's why (I forgot that episode in Season 2) when that episode where Yuki helped the gardening club and him and Kakeru were having an argument of some sorts, Kakeru said sorry and asked Yuki how to have the same perspective, I guess, like him, because his girlfriend called him out because of that attitude of his before.
Spoilers below I think that maybe they will show Katsuya's face cause in the last page of the last chapter there are like Tohru's stuff like the little zodiac figures, hat and some pictures and one of those pictures are Katsuya and Kyoko holding liitle Tohru. Though they could just add those things in the ED just like it is now.
I totally get your mixed feelings about the episode. It definitely was not the best, but still good. Like, I totally understand the Yuki/Machi story deserved and needed the time they got, but cutting his curse break into another episode just made me less emotional than I usually am when I read about Yukis curse break, especially "you are the last one", just because I am already in this happy sad mood from the curse breaking for everyone, but with one week in between and other stuff happening before it, it kind of did not get to me as much, which I find sad in a way. Again, totally understand there was no time for it in the last episode - just my personal feeling. It did feel super rushed, but I think it really is just a manga reader thing, so I am not too mad about the rest. I hope they do the last episode justice :) If I dont get "that image" at the end, I will be mad xD
Well it's an emotional mess of the episode, I am in a mess when I see the rat running to God as if it's like a child reuniting with their parent, it's a reunion of loved ones. I also love how Akito's kimono look when it's animated.we onion cry on Kyoko monologue,as a bonus my sister lose her mind when the actor of Kastuya was here if you watch the Japanese dub
Did the scene between Akito and Shigure happen just before the curse break? Since when the curse breaks he already has the scar from her clawing his cheek? And is walking down the estate path. Which gives me the sense he had just left that altercation and then it happened
I don't know really how to say but.. I somehow do not like the slight character change of Kyo that much. I miss his "Oy!" aura - the cute, somehow insecurely protective but always paying indirect attention way.. the way he was paying attention in a more subtle way. I don't know. I like the change in general, it was needed for them to become a couple that is not awkward around each.. but it is so harsh for me.. he is 100% soft to me now.. and I am missing the raw Kyo engergy.
