I love seeing the original Roland Aira line up getting used. My System 1 got used by Kevin Saunderson at a Glasgow gig when the one he rented was dead on arrival. I love the gear so much, I bought two MX1s and two TB3s. Nice live jams.
thank you dude! yeah the aira gear is nice to perform on it. but i actualy want to get some different stuff as well. but for now i have to spend my money elsewhere...sadly 😁
@@fatkev1983 minilogue XD since ages. and than theres so much, i dont know. but i propably gonna find something :) semimodular stuff would sweet or even modularsystem... and then its endless anyway
Sounds really Oldschool. I prefer instead of tb3 the Roland sh 4d. So you have more possibilities for spheric sound scapes. So you can create better rise ups.
yeah, basicly every synth with a little tweakability is better than the tb3. im just into playing in that combo for live reasons as well and because of that programm where you can make your own patches for the tb. i could just use the System 1 and have much more possibilities but like i said, for the moment its a bit about the tb3 for me.
For pure LIVE playing, JAMMING, PERFORMING a spontaneous DJ Set or a pre-planned one the AIRA series is very hard to beat! For fun, ease of use layout, and LIVE playing, I’ll take a Aira TR-8, TB-3, (an System-1), over a SH-4D everyday ! Aira series sounds great with its ACB synth engine and is more immediately gratifying imo. 😊
Hey man, great jam and energy, you're clearly at ease with roland gear! first time i see the roland mixer in use and it looks pretty useful for these kind of jams. Can i ask you smth, how did you manage to put a snare on LT at about 13:45? I can see you have lots of sounds available for that one when you flick through INST. Would be greatly appreciated :)
thanks buddy. the mx 1 is realy fun for jamming and has some great features. channelvise its not so nice if you dont have aira gear as 4 of them are usb (just for roland gear). and the snare/clap is possible because the tr8. you have all the drumcomputers on there (808 909 707 727 606) and you can mix them up on each sound. like 909 kick and 808 snare. and in this case its a 808 variaty on the toms wich goes from sweeping to percussic when you turn the decay knob
My good friend has a tb3 and a tr8 laying around his home studio. I don’t think he use them much. after watching this awesome jam I’m tempted to borrow them and learn how to use them for our musical project. Very cool music mate 🤘🏻😈
they are actualy quite easy to "learn", made for jaming. if you wanna give it try and could get a hand on them for free you should do that. its realy fun. Thanks mate
@@unbekannterinterpret I’ll ask my mate tomorrow at rehearsal and see if I can borrow them for a bit. Seems like an awesome time you are having!!!. Then again I’m clueless regarding electronic and beats but that’s the fun part to learn something new 🤘🏻
its actualy just the TR-8 without the s :) it goes to the MX-1 wich is the AIRA mixer. on this thing you have some master and channel effects wich i use mostly for transitions and sidechaning. thanks a lot

"You don't need much for techno," says the guy with 21 pieces of hardware on his desk. LOL. All you really need is a drum machine, one good synth and a laptop with Ableton.
i basicly just use two synths in that jam bro. just because theres many synths you dont have to use them... and i`m basicly DAWless. Ableton is a nogo ;) and also with that i can turn that point around. if you use ableton you propaply use more than just the two synths ;)
Way to much gear for standard preset sound, and generic experience, Guess the merit is in dedication and technical chalenge to configure such large setup
i basicly just use the tr8 and tb3 in this one. and also the "presets" on the tb3 are mostly made by myself. wich part is generic in your opinion, i´d like to know as there are some pretty unusual presets that i made. its actualy no real challenge to configure the setup if you build it up by yourself. but you obviously dont need to use it all to make some musik as you can see in this video... do you actualy make music by yourself?
