I live in Katy and this house would be in the higher 300K (it is a new build) margin... near to 400K. The 300K certainly doesnt include the hidden fees and upgrades.
I lived in California for 9 months and left 😁. A lot of people can’t even afford their apartments, let alone their home. A lot of people have roommates. They just want to be about that life 🤷🏽♀️. I love California to visit but to live, it’s crazy expensive and the traffic... takes forever to get a few blocks. I started taking public transportation lol. But everybody wants to live there.
Actually the price for this home has skyrocketed to the $300k. Just a few years ago, this house would have easily been in the upper $200k range. The increase in the housing market from so many people moving here is hard for us natives to take. My home is on 2 acres, has an outdoor kitchen, pool, and is 3800 sq ft. We built it custom for $250k. Prices are going up so quickly..more than salaries.

I just feel so sorry for your generation, which includes my own children, as to what you have to pay to get a nice house these days. If I ever thought about moving, the prices of lumber and new construction has been a deterrent. Love your channel.

Good question, so the price is only for the home. When all the available homesites are sold the model homes start at this price but its sold at its highest bid. Not all furniture stays mostly only the decor and wall art. These bids usually double or triple in price

You are correct! This home has $75k in upgrades, granite in all bathrooms and kitchen, tile floors all over first floor, extended patio, theater room is an upgrade otherwise a 5th bedroom etc.

Everything I love! NO Dining room, stairs hidden/tucked away, not seen at entrance. No half bath. However there should be 2 full baths upstairs.

This home had $75k in upgrades, for someone to stay in the 300s they wouldn’t upgrade anything. Floorplan, square footage remains the same.
