I love how you are GOAT and still you always play to enjoy. Its not about abusing one tricks and memorizing with your plays, but about trying new things and having a conversation with your opponents. Almost like a ping pong match where you are almost disappointed when your opponent fail to counter correctly and the conversation falls short during the crescendo. Its not the highest score and loot you are really after, but see them as a means to continue to have fun and help this community grow (i know sometimes you dont even know the prize pool even in the finals). Thank you for your sportsmanship and constant entertainment.

What I like about you as a World Class player, is that you dont just post highlight reels of you curb stomping opponents. You actually play the game, experiment, and lose, lose gracefully and then share that experience with the rest of us. It speaks alot to your character as a player and person. I gotta hand it to you!
9:56 2 vils were better for gathering grow, cause you were still at 31 pop.
The wheelbarrow is worth to pick at 42 vils, if you look at collection rates and constant production from TC. The hand cart, surprisingly, is worth to pick at 39 vils, so if you get wheelbarrows at 42 vils, you can take hand cart right away without dropping in your income.

Depends on yuor eco. Him having no farms makes wheelbarrow even worse than what it normally would be.

So I guess the advantage here is: Go up to imp with 1 tc, then building fetorias is a faster way to get resources than trying to catch up on vills. But you have to go agro and get a leg up on the opponent, or their eco will eventually be too good vs yours.

You cant spam units with featoria It dont produces to much resources for that, you have to micro taht units to make them worth
feitorias are an option for later game. Basically boom with vills gives faster resources than feitorias, but when you run out of gold/stone, theyre a great option in 1v1. before you run out of them, you're better off spamming vills to mine than making feitorias
Can you afford attack, balistics, crossbow and arbalest upgrade in early imp? Hand cannons can be used a lot earlier, with arbs you are gonna have pretty small window imo
I think feitorias might do better in a team game, especially as pocket. If you go organ guns, its just wood and gold. You could sling food and stone, so the team could just out-castle the opposing team.

I played a 500 pop game as Portuguese. I had 22 feitorias at the end, the resources were insane
Eco managment at that point is just nasty, having Portugese Sweatshops make things considerably easier.

so that building is good for ultra lategame, so what about taking a relic or two.
Feels like there is definitely a way to make the strategy work, but it needs to be refined some more. Definitely will never be the optimal strategy, but possibly a viable one. Certainly doesn't help when you don't get relics and let tons of bombard cannons get mowed down like that though 11
Oh good, it's not just me that basically turns one villager into Sharon/Bob the house builder in the castle age for several full minutes.
So when playing a standard strategy as portuguese on arena, adding 1-2 feitoria when reaching imp is an efficient way to improve eco before reaching 120+ vils, right ? With some relics, it sounds comfortable
Depends on what you mean by "standard". The Feitoria generates resources much more slowly than equivalent villager population with Imperial upgrades, assuming there are resources to be gathered. This fast Imp strategy could work because the Feitoria builds much more quickly and cheaply than a TC, 20 villagers, and eco upgrades. It's sabotaging long-term economy for a big short-term boost.
NUKE ISRAEL but longlong term economy never stops is immune to raids doesn't need maintenance also keeps producing gold and stone even after there is none left on the map when you account for the market prices for the gold and stone in the late game gold and stone generation greatly outperforms same numbered villagers chopping farming selling and buying to get a little bit of stone

IMO they've messed with the stop and fire on gun units. Seems that way with ships + siege cannons as well.
Maybe cav would've been the correct choice here, to counter both the lancers and the siege

Porto cheap cavaliers vs castle age stuff would have been good, but feitoria give money out pretty slowly.

Why do you always go for either no fei or a whole lot? My intuition is that 1 or 2 could effect a small eco boost while keeping most of the aggression of fast imp, esp if you had no other use for the initial stone; but 4 is too much investment, it means you just have a delayed boom with a restricted pop cap, as compared to a standard FC boom.
Feitoria with fast imp and arbalest I think that is very good

FYI Viper, wheelbarrow mainly affects farmers, you need like 20 farmers for wheelbarrow to be a good choice eco wise. 2 vills was def the better choice here.
So with new Khmer, wheelbarrow is less important, since they don’t carry more than 1 anyway.
Wheelbarrow shouldn’t even be worth it if you’re doing this strat since you’re never gonna have 20 farmers anyway.
don't forget that wheelbarrow increases villager movement speed which has applications outside of being an economy boost

I tried this (badly) on unranked.... the hard part is finding a composition that matches your resource output. I ended up just spamming out arbs and Bombard Cannon, covering the map in BBTs and slinging the food to my allies on Arena but YMMV
@Allen Iekanjika The raiding resistance is huge too, I took a huge cut-through paladin raid that nearly killed me, but I was able to "reboom" in a mattery of a couple of minutes with a handful of remaining vils. WIth a normal eco it would have killed me outright and nearly killed my ally.

It's not bad. If you notice he had enough resources to F around and lose some of the most expensive units over and over, bombards. All while creating expensive hand cannons by the masses. He's surprised he wasnt trading that great by using hand cannons that counter infantry, vs lancers that are good vs both hand cannons and bombards lol. He actually could have won that game. He had a mass of archers still and all he needed was something to counter the rams. And i'm pretty sure the other player was soon to run out of gold because their composition was pretty gold heavy too.
Also i don't understand why he built his feit's up front. Like he had ALL that room in the back of his base safe from any treb fire or units and he didnt use it.

@@biaslina 5 feit is just as good if not better than 5 relics. (i think better with the recent change). If you notice he had enough to go gold heavy units all throughout the game. He lost like 2-3k gold in bombard cannons alone lol.
Also doesnt matter if its not a tournament, still try to win.

I think every civilization should get a unique building. I know it's a lot with 35 civs (or 34, if you count harbor)
Feitoria will work well if pop cap is 300 or higher. That mean we can build 10 or 12 feitorias.

Wish they stopped focusing on the Feitoria, which is mostly a gimmick, and give the civ some real buffs.
Vietnamese, another low-tier civ, got a real buff, the kind of changes im talking about.

Halberdiers in front, keeping the cavalry at bay, organ guns for just about everything else.

What's up Viper.. I wanted to say I'm a noob compared to you. AKA the God of AOE2 but dude... you called it in the beginning of the game. He went steppe lancer. Those hand cannon dudes didnt do shit. Why not go Halbs and bombard cannons with bombard towers. He would have stood no chance at all. Lol just some input my brother. I still think your great but I feel like that would have been so easy to do. Especially with how great you are!

I think fetorias are strong in defensive playstile since the resourses are infinite , just turtle up and bank resourses for late game and "tire up" your opponent , instead of going out on the map seeking fights just get a loot of canons and defend like crazy :)

@@IschmarVI No you patrol them through the enemy base. Plus you'll alkso be making a group of 60 Bombard Cannons which would take out the longbowmen.
