I have the opportunity to pickup an ex4 for $250. The seller told me that the resistance is being temperamental so they got this part to fix it but the repair seems daunting and they were wanting to get an upgrade anyway. Looking at your video assures me that I as a moderately handy person can take on this project. Thank you!
Hey Matt - I seem to be having this same problem with my bike. When you turned the resistance knob would the app show that you were turning the resistance up? My issue is that I turn the resistance up, and on the screen the resistance goes up but no actual resistance is applied. I just want to make sure I am having the same issue that you were. Thanks!
@@kimahlberg7477 Echelon support told me that the encoder wheel should fix this issue - I was able to order a new one through them for $25, and it will be arriving tomorrow. Hopefully that does the trick.
@@atlantis454 Did the encoder fix yours? my bike seems to just be at a really have resistance level and wont change but like yours the knob changes level on the app but the resistance is stuck where it is on the physical device. Mine has a lot of resistance and is brand new so it seems weird that their answer of replacing the encoder wheel will fix it

Hi - I have the same bike, bought second hand. As I change resistance I can here a noise as it goes up and down resistance, is this normal? Thanks
