For all the handicap doubters: I’m a 2 (used to be +1) and just played this course form the tournament tees. Shot a 90 on a windy day. It’s tough. Now add the pressure of playing against Bubba with people watching. No telling what you’d shoot on a bad day with all that accounted for. He might not be a 3, but I doubt he’s worse than 5 or 6.
Not playing up to your own standard. Along with trying to keep up with a world class ball buster can do that. Just about all golfers have been there. I know i have.
EAL doesn't hit the same anymore. The breaking series used to be good but recently, just has his boys on there, last one with the owner of LAB. He and some other dude spent an hour just hitting balls off the first tee while we all gawked at their talent. We all know Bubba's incredible hook shot from the tress on the first playoff hole of the Masters, right? Well, I watched him do that first from that tee box. He was sending balls out over the left rough and they were ending up OB on the right with complete control. At one point he took the other pro's right handed driver, teed it up swinging left handed with the toe on the ground, and pumped it out 300+ (yes, altitude helps, but still). On top of his talent he was so fun and relatable. He answered a bunch of questions and even through some respectable shade back at the doofus kids who tried to get smart with their questions.
