Really good video but some points. 1- crossover exists (GTA V, God if War…a lot actually) 2- emulators exist now for almost every console that windows can emulate (ps3, switch, Wii U, Wii, GC) natively on Mac 3- Asahi Linux Look into those, I think a part 2 is deserving…those are very important things you didn’t mention or cover
AAA Games that I have played and/or completed on my Macbook Air M1: 1. GTA V 2. Tomb Raider 3. Rise of the tomb raider 4. Shadow of the tomb raider 5. God of War 6. COD: MW (OG) 7. COD: MW2 (OG) 8. Disco Elysium 9. Deus Ex Mankind Divided 10. Nier Automata 11. Nier Replicant 12. Witcher 3 13. Metro Exodus 14. Metro 2033 15. Metro Last Light redux And the list might extend even further down the line as crossover and parallels desktop improves, fingers crossed for that. Throw in Hades, Civilisation 6, Skyrim, FF7, and RE: Village to the mix, and this device is decent for gaming (@ 30-45FPS though). On another note, this process and support could be made much easier if Apple decided to incorporate DX11 and DX12 features into metal or supports open gl and Vulkan with open arms. Sigh, damn you Apple!

I honestly really like the m1 macbooks but the number one issue for me is that most of the games I like to play do not run on apple devices(i know i can get bootcamp, but i dont like the idea of using bootcamp). I do want to get a macbook pro on the side since I only have a windows desktop at the moment. I used to be an apple fan, but after they only allowed the usage of 64bit applications and not 32 is the biggest killer of apple computers for me.
Codeweavers has a bypass for Mac M1 that allows the system to use 32 bit applications, but I’ve only used theirs for World of Tanks. I’m not sure what other games they made a bypass for though.
Apple needs to catch up and hits us with an update to make steam directly compatible like with windows…there’s Chromebook gaming laptops after all. Hopefully they make it possible with valve
Why not just play games threw obs with an Elgato capture card I play Xbox games on my old 2019 MacBook just fine , so if I buy the M1 Max I’m sure would be even better, just buy Elgato capture card

No one should buy a Mac for playing games. But for us who have a Mac and want to play "real" games locally, all I can say is Crossover, Parallels & Emulators.

I bought a 14 inch base model and even that one can play MotorCubs RC just fine. M1 is such an impressive platform.
The easiest way to play games on a powerful m1 mac is to emulated switch games, games like crisis core reunion are available thx to that method ~
