Very nice playing. I noticed the SJ5-3 are more "fatter" and hit a little harder, it is probably more apparent in person though since that's difficult to convey in a recording. The stocks have more of a "honk" with a midrange spike somewhere which does sound nice. I'm considering getting these for my jazz but I do like the stocks, they're a little hissy though.
Exactly my considerations! i noticed that the stocks sound better on a cell phone speaker because they are more "medium frequency"... so it's not black and white, one is better than the other... it depends what you use it for! The main takeaway for me was that the stock squier pickups were better than expected!

@@lorenzorosbuco I like the ones on my MiM jazz as well but they are lacking thump.
So it's either these QP or the Model J from Dimarzio.
