They used to have buffets that were that cheap/bad (Surf at the Boardwalk, Klondike), but they went away in the 2000s. The closest thing left is Circus Circus.
What isn't Hollywood is people losing their fortunes like Clark did. I know of a few people who lost everything when gambling came to Atlantic City. Also accurate is the directions on how to get to their rooms that Julia Sweeney gives them. I know. I've stayed at the Mirage.

I don't think there's any person alive that didn't know the casino didn't so this stuff. It's a comedy.
