A quote from one of the very best movies....Shawshank Redemption... nice one Andy, can't believe Tracey didn't know it 😂
Haha I've watched Shawshank Redemption 4 times too 🤣 I could of kicked myself for not knowing that . A brilliant film.
WOW! What an amazing piece of film. Absolutely fantastic. What a day the three of you had. A day to live long in the memory I'd say. It don't get much better that's for sure.
@davidburgess9058 thank you David, I love it when it's foggy but when it starts to swirl about and the tops appear it's a sight I never take for granted and feel blessed in that moment. 😃
Loved this episode can truly see the chemistry between you both , little digs and funny comments, was smiling all the way through beautiful veiws also well done
@markward6387 Thank you 😊 Andy is a cheeky chap isn't he haha
Thank you Tracy, another wonderful hike
@alanquinn3868 Thanks very much Alan
Andy and Red...how a friendship should be. Brings a tear to the eye when you watch it.
@howardbooker9969 I can't believe I didn't get it, I love the end of that film and that beautiful tree where he found the tin. I believe that tree has fallen.
You two are producing some great stuff at the moment and as I think I commented on one of Andy’s vids IMO you are both getting better at presentation ( very much meant as a positive 😉) the more you do.
Another inversion and another really enjoyable vid .
Thanks for sharing 👌👌👌🙏🙏🙏
@richardborley7326 Thanks Richard , I'll take that , we put in alot of hard work and learn from other RUclipsrs so it's really nice when we get comments like yours. Makes it all worth while. 😃
You two are like a comedy act 😂😂 Great humour and banter. Brilliant footage, Tracey. What a treat you finally getting such an amazing inversion. Cracking stuff. Love it over Moses Trod - brilliant views but you don't have to bust a gut 😂 ATB Brian and Jill 😊😊
@BrianChappell-w5r Thanks Brian , our thoughts exactly. We do so much mucking about we run out of time and it's all about just taking in the views , not about bagging as many summits as one can. I was planning Green Gable but we spent alot of time filming the inversion. Always another day. Atb to you both Tracey
Terrific views when you came out of the mist - very atmospheric. Grey Knotts and Brandeth are seldom walked except when on the way to or from Great Gable or when knocking off AWs, but the conditions at the end made it really worthwhile.
Shawshank.
@gbfch Thanks Graham , yes you got it 👍 can't believe I didn't get it haha. I was planning Green Gable but we spent so much time filming the inversion we ran out of time. So it was a strange random route haha.
Brilliant it sounds like me and Paul when out for a walk. I managed to get lost up there in a cloud. Turned round and went back to the car!
Thank you so much for taking us round with you. Keep up the good work
@HeatherPark-ij7yz thank you Heather. It's so easy to get lost in fog , everything looks the same , you did the right thing. Atb Tracey
Absolutely phenomenal presentation! Edited so nicely guys! Bravo
@ervinslens Much appreciated, thank you. At the start I was starting to think it was going to be rubbish when the fog wasn't clearing . Atb Tracey
Well Tracey, perseverance paid off in thd end 😊 great cloud inversion 😊👌Mister Any with his little snippet from ono eof the best movie of all time ,The shawdank Redemption, what a bloody great film!! Regards to you,Andy & of course Billy Bob 🐶🐕❤👍🎉
@davidmarshall5596 Thanks David, your right it's a great folm I've even watched the film 4 times so can't believe I didn't get it , love the ending where they both meet on the beach by the Pacific ocean. Mawgan Freeman is one of my favourite actors 👌
@Traceyattrill-Essexgirlinwild i can't recall Morgan Freeman playing a role in a poor film, from memory all his performances have been up there with the best! This particular film was noted for the Brilliant finale, also the part were the Governor of the jail, discovered the escape tunnel 😀that was just superb 👌 they Don't make movies like that anymore Tracey, it's all ai now, give me The Green Mile etc, anyday 😉 😀
I did this 2 years ago, Grey Knott from the Drum House, over to Brandrerh, and it took me forever to find the peak. Wandering round aimlessly with Islay. Never did get to green gable.
Did rerurn this year to do fleetwith pike.
Islay and I headed back to the cafe but stopped to view buttermere it was stunning. Had a gorgeous day overall and a great excuse to return.
Lovely video, as always. Thank you both
@Muddipaws1308 Thanks Annie, it's such a confusing summit , so many cairns everywhere. But when you find it , it's obvious haha. The view of Great Gable from Green Gable is epic too. Might have to do Green Gable from Base Brown one day 🤔
Hi Tracey. Glad it all worked out in the end and you got to see the inversion. It was great to hear the banter and laughter between you both.
Lovely views, the Blackbeck tarn looked amazing. Dubs hut looked good with an amazing wood burner. The drone footage of the inversion was stunning.
Thanks for sharing.
Shawshamp redemption??
Bye for now to you, Andy and Billy 😊
@yvonnebailey9973 Thanks Yvonne , yes and I have watched this 4 times so can't believe I didn't get it haha. Brilliant film. Atb to you both xx
semangat kawanku
Hi Tracey, Andy and of course Billy. What a day that turned out to be, patience was well and truly rewarded. It’s cracking area of the lakes. I did my last wild camp on Brandreth with that view down to Buttermere.
I haven’t got a clue what Andy was on about, I must be too young. 🤣🤣
@DAoutdoors Haha it was from the film Shawshank Redemption, I've watched it 4ctimes too 😄. Brandreth would be a great camp , lots of flat ground . It's not my fav summit but with this inversion it was magical. Atb Dave
Hi Tracey,
So, the old fart's quote sounded very familiar, knew it was from a film but couldn't remember the name straight away, then the clag cleared and I remembered "The Shawshank Redemption", bet a few others got it as well.
In search of inversion that eventually paid off, and no one fell in this time. Andy's drone shots are atmospheric. As for Honnister, I'm so old that I remember meeting Mark Weir, the guy that owned the mine until his helicopter crash.
Cheers
Graham
@gberish602 Thanks Graham , I remember the helicopter crash too so I guess I'm in the old fart club 😄
Shawshank hahaha 😂 i need a revisit up here tracey it was the same for me thick clag and rain so yeah another visit and i need to do fleetwith so yeah waiting for summer to hopfully enjoy them again just catching up with yas as been busy as hell shame for the clag this is my favorite part of the lakes billy was having a good head rub on the ice 😂andy saying its quiet sometimes whats he trying to say here tracey that view over to great gable is amazing my favourite mountain of all and i dont no why as been on some great ones but this one just stands out for me post card views that was class the cloud inversions the bothy and the info brilliant again billy and the gang
@Butchyboysadventures hi Butch 👋 good to have you back haha.... thanks bud I was actually saying to Andy on the day about your walk on Brandreth , you were wetter than a mermaids minge 😄
Brilliant I just love all your videos, please do hellvellyn ❤
Thank you , will do Helvellyn when days a bit longer and my knees are better haha 😄
Fabulous video Tracey. Glad you got that inversion eventually, stunning to see it and so atmospheric. Is there a proper route from Brandeth towards Haystacks or is it off piste. Looked a great route. ATB
Yes there is a proper route , it's really nice heading past numerous tarns and amongst the Heather. I have done a vlog from haystacks over to Moses Trod a whole backwards but I didn't head up to Brandreth but all you would do is head up the ground to Brandreth from the gate .
