Finally. 🎉❤ What a great surprise! Japan should also bring other supermoto and light enduros back. Can't wait. Honda should use its new 750 engine and put it into a bigger supermotos to compete with the 950 Hypermotard. I would be in heaven. Don't leave this market to unreliable European manufacturers.
Swingarm is not the same as the previous generation DR-Z. The Oil fill port is also not the same as the 2000-2024 DR-Z - it's located in a different location at the top of the frame. It used to be offset to the right, now it's in the centers.
While its nice they finally did something it falls short in several areas. First and foremost this thing is a tank, it weighs about 20 lbs (331 lbs) more than the last model which is very heavy to begin with. Second and to me the biggest mistake,,, its only a 5 speed. Yup. you heard that right. what a disappointment. And then you have the catalytic converter built in the pipe, that will make aftermarket upgrades difficult if not impossible. you will for certain have to flash or change the ecm to change the pipe. Cool stuff with the fuel injection and riding modes but they've had 24 years to do it right and IMO they already missed the mark in come key areas.
@@johnnyofast5924 pretty much any modern single cylinder bike will require a reflash or aftermarket ECU and aftermarket exhaust, otherwise it won't run great. Thank you emissions regulations. Just ask CRF450RL and Hyper 698 owners.
It has more weight and less power, nothing crazy but it makes you think about how much EURO cathalitics impact on a bike. It's interesting, but the price tag will be pivotal, for around 7000€ it would make no sense.
This bike has no reason costing more than 7K euros. With 9K you buy a Suzuki V-Strom 650 with it's complicated 71HP, V2 engine and far more expensive features.
the crf300l is cheap and nasty parts spec it's not in the same league as the drz in terms of quality. so no the drz isn't going to be in the same price bracket. the crf has non adjustable pogo stick suspension.
How can you be saying it’s awesome for having many things that are the same to 2007??! 😮 that’s 18 model cycles ago! Imagine a bike in 2007 from 1989! 😛 totally BS
After reading specs I don’t like it! Titanium valves! No good to unreliable and fuel injection I’m not sold on either you must have a good battery to operate that’s not good for out in middle of nowhere

I hope they do the same to the DR650. Then my older one will double its value.
very nice inspection. so far the best video report i've seen. thanks!
Oh yes baby!!! Had one before and i want another one with these updates...
The new version looks awesome - looking forward to your thoughts when they come to Australia
everything you said was the same is actually different. exhaust, swingarm, oil filler location, shock, crankcase breather.
I like it the small headlight is great don't need traction control just need some more power .getting a little sideways is fun thing on dirtbike.
They've aligned the S and SM models so that they appear to share same handlebars, front forks, swingarm etc . Will be a great bike 👍

Spec sheet arm chair experts out in full force. It Will probably ride great and be a nice upgrade from current model.
Has to weigh more to be A2 licence compatible.
@@jimtitt3571 I got aides

Fuck fuel injection! It requires a battery and it has titanium valves one grain of sand can fuck em up
Traction control is pointless with 38hp. Anyway, if they bring it to my country I am buying it for sure.
Still too heavy, no 6th gear but I will still buy one
Awesome old bike revamped. The only problem should be seat hight.
I would focus on geometry. Is this DRZ fast when changing directions, or a sloth like the old one?
never change a winning bike
DR 650 super moto with 65HP+ would be so nice.
I wish they will release this in India
920 mm ?
You can turn off ABS & TC ^___^
5 speed gearbox 😵💫😳🤔
Fuck the 6th gear
Tare ca fac ambele variante, defapt tare ca fac și varianta supermoto 😂
Totally different bike
I was hoping for lighter it's already kind of a heavy bike for technical off roading

It WILL be too expensive. I'd pay £4500 max.
Suzuki has done the minimum for euro 5 compliance.....but better than discontinued..
🇮🇳👌❤👌❤👌
Its called dr-z 4 s/sm🙋🏻♂️
Missed opportunity…. By a mile and 6th gear. Sad.

7k and i buy this beauty without hesitation
@MrSpaha-kx7ie That would be a fair price, if suspension is good.
Sm model 153 kg for 400cc is very heavy bigger bike 701 husky is 150 kg
Husky is 160 kg wet, but still better power to weight.
@
No weight with out fuel is 148 kg I have 701

Actually the CRF received an Update also in terms of Suspension
great bikes, stupid colors and graphics,

Then just make sure you keep a good battery in it? It's a wear item that should be replaced every couple years anyways
same shitty 5 speed box
Mine works just fine
Hopefully they change the ratios
