  • Join Klausnikski and DR-Z Mike as the venture out on another fun filled Sunday ride in the Peak District. Today we rode the famous Chapelgate trail which could possibly end up being closed for good to motorized vehicles.

I wish the relevant authorities could at least have a limited open season for motorbikes on tracks like these. Say, March at the start of the year and October at the end. Bikes do hardly any damage at all and the rest of the public be they ramblers or riders should be prepared to share access. But no. Anyway - thanks for this upload. It's a good historical record!

Good vid mate, makes me sick how so many lanes are getting closed. Its self interest groups that cause the problems...

More on this, sometimes I ride past people that wine at me for riding my bike along what they seem to think is "their" path. I just don't understand how people can be so intolerant of something they might only stumble across for about 20 seconds of their 2 hours walk, well I'm sorry that there was a little bit of noise for 0.27% of your walk...

Not sure Chris, it's looking like it might be raining all day which is no good for filming.

+aadrianlee I don't think there is a booklet. When I first started I used the www.trailwise.org.uk/ website and that showed me that the Buxton Old road was legal to ride and then I went and found it and did it which was ace.
