Whatever Toyota designs is always reliable and strong. Their cars outlive their owners. I am a super fan of old school 70 series LC’s with standard transmission in any version except pick up
yeah, my wife has a 4 cylinder turbo on her subaru outback, it moves... have not towed and not planning to. I am sure the engine moves, but the durability vs towing... meh... I mean the mazda cx-90 had 6 then 4-cylinder turbo then back to in-line 6 turbo...

2.7 turbo is fine is not pulling anything ... if towning or plowing a snow or any other hard use V8 only ... milage for I4 is miserable two ... only 4 cilinder for such vehicle is Turboi diesel ... enough power and efficency ...
@@occasionalquesttime will tell, I’d like to think Toyota did their homework on this new engine since it’s going to be three of their vehicles In the lineup. Like any other manufacturer, the first 1-2 years they typically need to iron out the kinks.

it is not possible to sell the over seas cruiser here. the government won't let them
