- The Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) honoured Brigadier General Fred Twinamatsiko with an 11-gun salute as he was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kabaale, Butare ward, Muhanga Town Council, Rukiga District.
Brig. Gen. Twinamatsiko tragically lost his life in a car accident on Masaka Road on Friday, September 13, 2024, while returning from the funeral of Defense Minister and Kisoro District Woman MP, Sarah Mateke.
