- My second video: Even though the conclusion of the arc in the rather half-baked "Ark of Truth" movie was somewhat rushed and disappointing, I felt that the Ori deserved a tribute like this. I was always a fan of the Ori arc and I thought they were really creepy and menacing compared to the Goa'uld who had become more or less of a joke by season 8. I also liked that after 8 years of Egypt-bashing, Stargate pointed out the evil of religious fundamentalism in the shape of the Ori. The songs I used are "Prelude to Purgatory" by Powerwolf and "In the Name of God" by Sabaton. Again, I do not own any of this. Stargate is the property of MGM and SciFi. This video is my tribute and for entertainment purposes only. Have fun and enjoy!

I wish we could have seen Jaffa and Ori soldiers fight it out on the battlefield
That has happened before in the show
My favorite bad guy of the show, and perhaps of all time, perhaps since it speaks directly to us. Being raised in a fundamentalist family and confronted with some of the darkest beliefs of the faith, I loved watching the Ori series. Thanks for making this video three years ago, I'm glad to have found it.
Imagine the ori from stargate invading the star wars galaxy during the clone wars that would be a blood bath
This song truly captures the "ick" of the Ori and their Priors... Besides which, it just rocks!
wise decision! this track is the intro of their latest album "bible of the beast", which is just amazing all the way through.
Run when its time to pay, fear consequence of your action
Reappear when you're almost forgotten
Dream of a world in peace, yet you cause pain and destruction
Kill your own, a response of your actions
Captured in all you lies, fear is in your eyes
Creature who's gone insane, your war is in vain
Trapped in a cage of stone, we'll destroy your home
Consequence of your action
Thanks a lot! The scene is from s10e12 "Line in the Sand".
I keep coming back to watch this again and again XD.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it! I don't have the time to make as many videos as I would like - but I will make another video soon, I promise.
Ori was cool idea! I never that Stargate could top the System Lords (Goa'uld) but they did.
+Sophia Wilson Too bad the whole franchise got cancelled. I wanted there to be more Ori too :/
Heartbreaking video, you've brought tear to my eyes. well made video respect.
StarGate is also one of my favorite scifi series with only Babylon5 being the 1st by a narrow margin. Ark of Truth was a tad disappointing in that it DID seem rushed like you said. You basically took most of the words out of my mouth in your vid description.
thank you!
I added this to my favorites a long time ago. I' m suprised you don't have many view. This is the best I have seen about the Ori. YOU SHOULD MAKE ANOTHER ONE SOON, IF YOU HAVE TIME
Thank you very much, I appreciate it!
thank you for sharing this, i'm glad i made something that speaks to you!
thanks!
Sabaton - In the Name of God
Hide from the public eye, choose to appear when it suits you
Claim you're just, killing women and children
Fight when you choose to fight, hide in a cave when you're hunted
Like a beast spawned from hell, utilizing fear
The Ori allways reminded me of the three Abrahamic sects, same MO.
Very well done.
Good work...good songs...5/5...Peace!!!
Thank you, I may have to look into Powerwolf now as a new source of Music. :)
it's "hide in the crowd". i'm glad you like the video, looking forward to yours!
Imagine the ori invading the star wars galaxy during the clone wars
That would be Epic, though I would support the ori
@@jeremycharles2051okay and why would you support the ori ?
@@jeremycharles2051say how do you think the inhabitans of the star wars galaxy during the clone wars would react to the ori invading thier galaxy and the ori fighting both the seperatists and the sith and the droid army and the jedi and the clone army and the galactic republic?
same here!
Hallowed are the Ori!
Great song. Do not get what is with the 2D strategy facing ae 3D threat?
Spinning is fun!
is it "hide in the crowd" or "hide in the ground"?
anyway, sweet video, I love this song
I'm in the process of making a Stargate vid with the song "Thundergods"
How is called that first song please ??
The two seasons when SG1 went from meh to good. Very very good.
And top song choice.
What is the Opening song that lasts up until 1:05 ?
i like stargate series, was disappointed when they ended it...i thought they coulda stretched out the ori plot atleast another episode maybe 2.
they were close to season 11 at the time but then nitwits cancelled it
What was the first song? up until 1:10
@SkyyCaptainn Thank you!
This is a very good video. Good work! I made a stargate video too, but compared with yours, mine is nothing, LOL
Ummm...If you don't mind, can you tell me from which episode the scene from 3:50 to 4:10 is? It doesn't look familiar to me.
Oh, and good luck with your new video!
well, I finally finished that video!
Chosen by god or a coward insane?
Stand up and show me your face!
Suicidal, in a trance
A religious army
Fight without a uniform and hide in the crowd
Call it holy, call it just
Authorized by heaven
Leave your wounded as they die, and call it God's will
came back to watch again. :)
@abcdefghawe Well what can I say, I'm glad you enjoyed the intro so much and I'm sorry you don't like the main song :P
It's in the video description...
@doctorw2
Military theme.... thats pretty much the only overlap.
Ori? as in something to do with the Orion's Belt?
oh sorry,thanks
"Prelude to Purgatory" by Powerwolf
It was a religious war between the Ancients and the Ori.
season 9, episode 11 "The Fourth Horseman, Part 2"
Take a look at the info box ;-)
The video and song are both good, but I don't think they actually go all that well together. The Ori are violently crazy when it comes to spreading their religion, but they're not cowards. At no point do they 'hide in a cave when [they're] hunted' or 'fight without a uniform and hide in the crowd.'. What it comes down to, is that the song is about essentially guerrilla fighters and the Ori are as far from guerrillas as it's possible to be. They're all about uniforms and openly demanding what they want.
Actually it's about terrorists and their groups like ISIS.
AlanReviews All I have to say is Panzer Battalion, Ghost Division, or maybe Gott Mitt Uns would fit better... P.S. SABATON FTW!
@Dalbert342
Agreed. I really liked the Ark of Truth. But Continuum was kinda lame in my opinion.
@doctorw2 why? it's and epic show.
@masterDevis no its ascended beings who have created the religion origin to gain followers and power
For a bunch of Space Crusaders in a Jihad Campaign Mode they were pretty awesome even in their Toilet Seat Death Stars.
im afraid with my world. Islam !
Don't take the Ori literally how Christianity works.
thank you!
thanks!
thanks!
