    I think not taking into account the country is a big mistake. In my experince, despite being the same company, being in a country or another makes a huge difference in the relationship between employer and employee. In my humble opinion, deciding on where to work based only on these video would be a mistake.

    Great analysis and good collection of facts. However, I am not convinced with one of the criteria, Revenue per employee. Employee compensation is in no way proportionate to the revenue of the company. The more the revenue of the company, the more the salary of the employee...good to hear but very rare to see...

  • @alexandergreen5359
    @alexandergreen5359 2 года назад +22

    Great content and analysis, but remember, your experience with companies as large as the big4 will vary greatly depending on what group you are hired into and what teams you work with. Don't be discouraged if you, say, got into KPMG and somehow feel that because it's ranking in this video wasn't great that you somehow are screwed. Bend the opportunity to you, not the other way around.

    - environment: mostly great, supportive, I Am close with colleagues and managers. I will miss this if I have to leave the company
    - workload: heavy, but if there is no project you are free
    - salary and bonus: this is really disappointing. The salary is really low compared to your actual workload and OT time. There is even no OT you can claim

Further about hikes it really depends how much business you are bring in. Otherwise it's as bad as getting 2% hike. Over the 5yrs it has become worse in terms of hikes. While I was in Deloitte my learning was limited to the work I do, no additional knowledge assistance was provided to further explore and grow in my career. I made a switch and now I am a country payroll expert. It completely depends on the stream of work. I do not see a point here as this video is only from a public accounting/Auditing perspective. Something that isn’t really quantifiable is how much you like and respect your peers, supervisors and those that you have to work with on a day-to-day basis. Organizations are made up of people and if you can’t stand the people you work with I don’t think there’s enough money to get past that if they make you miserable.

Nobody really knows how you get your rating. It comes as a surprise. Even after you are dying for the firm, you will get the poorest ratings and therefore the worst hikes and bonus 😭
