- This was one of the hardest songs to write. I’ve had parts of this song for a long time but it took a while to find the rest of the words. It’s a song about suffering. We’re so often told an over-simplified, problem-free gospel: that God just wants us to be happy and take all of our struggles and problems away. And while he does bring us a wonderful, incomparable joy, he also promised that there would be trouble. He showed an example of a life of suffering, leading to glory. If Jesus was willing to take up his cross for me, why shouldn’t I? He never promised that we wouldn’t suffer, but that he would be with us through it. This fallen world is full of suffering, but through it we learn to lean on Him and depend on Him, and to hope for that coming day when the suffering will be over. We may not always know the answers, we may wonder why some prayers feel left unanswered, but we look to Jesus as the example: as he prayed in the garden for the cup of suffering to be taken away, and yet still went through with it for the joy set before Him: to be with us. And we remember the words the Lord spoke to Paul, as he pleaded with God to take away his ‘thorn in the flesh’: “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:7-10). Sometimes God moves the mountains, parts the sea, calms the storm, and sometimes he gives us the strength to go right through it with him. Even so, his grace is sufficient. Even so, he is worthy.

I experienced a pain in my life about 8 years ago that even now brings up new challenges & pain. No mountains were moved. No seas were parted. But God has walked with me the entire time. Your music (and R&R) has grown to be a favorite of mine. Thank you for making great truthful songs like this.

I met an elderly woman who read Psalm 84 to me about 25 years ago. “Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who set their hearts on pilgrimage, when they pass through The Valley of Weeping they make it a place of springs..”
She emphasized the word “through” several times. She said “Our Father doesn’t leave his children in The Valley, He brings them through.”
Little did I known that 5 months later my husband would leave, and 5 years later I’d lose my 17 yr old son to cancer. God doesn’t leave us in The Valley, He’s with us-Emmanuel. The Psalm goes on to say “they go from strength to strength”. He is our strength and He brings us through because He’s faithful and so so good.

I've experienced a very humiliating situation in my career because of a grave mistake i have done. It was like the end for me. It was indeed very painful. But it was also the sweetest time i have with God...that moment i have nothing but Him. All throughout that experienced he gave me peace and i heartily worshipped Him. I just prayed, and i also asked my family and friends to pray with me. He provided deliverance. I was listening and singing to this song alone the entire experience for this exactly described it.
Im in the verge of hurting myself right now but im trying so hard not to do it. I keep on reminding myself that His love is greater than my pain. Then I decided to visit RUclips to check some action song to divert my mind and attention then I saw this song, indeed Lord your Grace is very Sufficient to me 💯♥️. As Christians, we do expect suffering to come as a cost of following Jesus. But it's also during those moments where I find myself closest to God and clinging to Him for grace and comfort. This song beautifully describes this for me.

Yes, this a exactly what the Lord wants us to know. I learned this through suffering many years with Lyme Disease...and many people in the Churches used to say things that really hurt...such as "there must be some kind of hidden sin in my life" otherwise, God wouldn't allow suffering etc...or, "your faith isn't strong enough in the healing power of God"...so the sickness still remains...etc...This disease cemented my relationship with Him and caused me to lean entirely upon Him...and drove me deep into God's Word. I now see it as His hand, working all things together for my good...the good being a stronger and deeper walk with Jesus. Peace and Grace to you dear brother, I am grateful for this song...and your commentary on it.

Spot on! Our Father is faithful to fulfill the feasts in us. During this Passover, He stripped a lot away to reveal my heart and I’ve learned that we experience His overcoming spirit in us DURING the suffering/disappointment/heartache etc. Apart from my weakness and humility, I wouldn’t know His strength/love/grace/power etc. :)

This line hits me hard! It stroke my heart and have reminded me powerfully that God's worthiness and value will not change even if our circumstances is hard.
I remember that it's more than a month that I've been in a really deep battle about opportunities in life. The storms was really raging my heart so much, to be honest I had doubts and unbelief was forming in me, but one thing God and His Words reminded me, "His compassion and kindness never changes" along with the truth that "He can never lie."
And that settled my heart, and faith arose again, then the blessings flowed in.😊 Praise God, He is sufficient!🙌

I praise God that Jesus took the cup for me. When we read the scriptures, he provided his sacrifice we don’t take credit for anything but live in His Sovereign Grace. Live for Christ, in his strength when we are weak.

Right now I felt like standing alone in front of crossroads. No one understand the suffering inside my heart, even the closest person like my parents. This song, I don't know, is it God's voice for me personally? All the blur image (idk how you called it, like in 3:13), it looks like a tears. I wish this shall pass too somehow. I don't know when this pain will go away, but I'm sure this song will accompany me through this process.

He came in flesh as Jesus and felt what we feel. HE understands ❤️ I pray you would know you are dearly loved and not alone. The LORD Jesus is there. I recommend you check out Psalm 34, Psalm 121, and the song 'Belong to You' by Here Be Lions.

Sometimes we don't understand the way The Lord in his wisdom is taking us and the suffering he allows on the way, but by his grace I cast my lot with Jesus, my refuge, my hope, my salvation.
