Yeah. Nasomatto Pardon is my absolute favorite dress up/formal frags that I own (close to 400). Hands down the most complimented when I wear it, which is far and few between.

@@CurlyFragrance that is exactly how it should been down when reviewing several perfumes at once.
Hahahah! It's a myth! Coffee beans do not solve the olfactory problem, in fact it makes it worse. It's alcohol blast that desensitises your nose, If you spray the perfume a little away from your nose and give it few seconds before putting your nose to your hand, you will have no problem even if you are smelling a thousand perfumes.

Nasomatto Pardon is one of my absolute secret weapon. I get so many compliments with this fragrance it's actually insane.

The fireplace is defo one you need to wear on skin, then spray again about 15mins later, it breaks down to a sweet marshmellow kind of vibe, love it, actually think your skin chemestry has to be right with that, as smells totally different on my partner when she tried it, lol
I’ve seen a good amount of reviewers give Pardon love though I keep hearing about Performance issues. Duro is #1 Nassomato for me. Great vid Curly, as always!

Love your opinions on the scents...you're generally spot on. Your past videos made me break out Xerjoff Naxos 1861 and Initio Oud for Greatness, been sitting tucked away. If you run across BDK, would value your opinion before I purchase.

Baraonda is my favourite from Nasomatto, by a healthy margin - it's pretty much *the* boozy fragrance. Pardon didn't do too much for me the first time I got it, but it has grown on me every time I've worn it. Like you, By the Fireplace turned me off on the initial spray, but I gave it more chances and I'm now quite fond of it. I really enjoy Straight to Heaven, but I find it very light and fleeting, so perhaps I should try out the Extreme version! Thanks for the insight!

I have it and it’s very interesting, it was an exciting buy but I have no idea where I would actually wear it. I have too many better options lol
@@NpgSymboL it makes me feel cozy and relaxed , so I would wear it on a cold night , going out and doing something more laid back. Date night included , but I would make sure the girl likes it. So I wouldn't wear it on a first date

I had the same reaction to By The Fireplace. I was like this is horrible, how does everyone talk about how great it is. I smelled my arm like an hour later and could not stop. The dry down is amazing.
I have tried it on my skin too but I just can't seem to like it...🤷♀️ I gave it a couple of shots though
It’s such an odd scent I feeling like I’m a sexy firefighter wearing it cause it smells like a great burning building
@@dervon9526 It does initially smell very smoky like burning woods with the sweetness of cloves. I can imagine people smelling that for the first time to be put off by it. The drydown is basically roasted marshmellows and chestnuts, smells better and lasts forever on clothes over skin. It's more for the cozy gourmand girlies.
I bought a three pack of by the fireplace, jazz club & whispers in the library this week. Meh. I liked them but didn't love them & they didn't last on my skin. Life is to short to wear fragrance you don't love. Now I want to try Pardon & have a cup of coffee. ❤️

Funny thing is, we have the safe reaction when i smelled by the fireplace. BUT when the dry down came, i cannot forget the smell til the next day that i even bought a full botlle righaway. And not to mention i am not into woody perfumes but this one hits different.
I didn’t think Nasamatto released offical notes. I love pardon but I think Ursa is a better option to straight to heaven extreme. Great video.
True, Nasamatto didn't released the official notes. His words: “I start making something but at a certain point it starts making choices by itself. It is the process that interest and guide me. I like the feeling that I’m losing control and I’m not the one making the choices. My involvement is to create something that is alive that will be able to say new things. I want my perfumes to have an intelligence of their own, not just be a slave to my meaning.”

Pardon lasts an easy 14 hrs. The 30ml is all you need. Killian lasts like 2 or 3 hrs tops on me.
Pardon smells very similar to the original discontinued LIDGE which is why its so good, you can get L'instant De Guerlain Pour Homme EDP which is the reformulation of LIDGE which is way cheaper than Pardon and getting super popular dare I say it its having a renaissance.

Kilian "Sacred Wood" is my signature - its getting hard to find, i believe it discontinued.... The one of the most complimented as well. "By the Fireplace ", on the other hand - never understood the hype... Thanks for honest reviews

Pardon is one of my favorite. I also have Duro which I love as well. Duro is very masculine but I am sure you will like if you like Pardon. My favorite Killian's are Black Phantom, which I own and Straight to Heaven which I will purchase soon. Do you recommend the Straight to Heaven regular or extreme. As always, you are amazing. Funny, beautiful, sweet, wonderfully fragrant; the whole package. Puszi puszi.

Go for Tiziana Terenzi Ursa👌 in the drydown it has a straight to heaven vibe but much stronger😎💪

I wear dressed up kind of fragrances to the gym also in gym clothing and still get compliments🤣👌 trust me, wear what you like on what occasion. You will smell sexy with this one no matter if you wear a suit or not😉👌
Got my 6ixht Nasomatto today, Pardon. And I love it a lot, but after a while I smelling Black Orchid edt. But so much stronger. Maybe I found my layering duo😃

I heard Pardon is excellent but I haven't tried it yet. Straight to Heaven Extreme is really good I need to try that Atkinson's fragrance. By the Fireplace is good if you are in the mood for it and it's the right setting.

*Straight To Heaven Extreme* is one of my all time favorites. Absolutely amazing boozy, woody fragrance. Definitely sexy as you described. I have a 50 ml bottle and I'm working on a 250 ml bottle ($1100 😬, that's how much I love it 😁).
*By The Fire Place* is ok, but seems better suited as a holiday candle. Just my opinion.
I've tried *Sacred Wood* before, but wasn't blown away by it. I'll probably never try it again because it's discontinued. I hate chasing discontinued fragrances.
You have me really interested in *Pardon* and *Atkinsons Mint & Tonic.*

Every time I smell pardon I can't stop smiling
If you want to try the same dna of by the fireplace but more refined and well balanced you should check out oud superfluid by les eaux primordiales 👑 my sotd as it happens.
Its a mixture of deep rich smokey oud and creamy guiac wood , the blending of both woods is nothing short of bewitching, then add in a dark sweet creamy slightly boozy vanilla and rich resinous benzoin.

I remember trying killian sacred wood and bamboo harmony a couple years ago and not liking them. There was nothing to them that really grabbed my attention. By the fireplace was a pass for me as well. I like that it's artistic but it's just not something I would want wear so it isn't bottle worthy for me. The other 3 I have to try. I'm into boozy scents so straight to heaven would probably be my vibe.

nasomatto is by far the best house right now. pardon is a 10. baraonda is a 10. black afgano is for me personally a 9.5
Pretty sure the notes for Pardon were never made official. Your guess is as good as mine, but on my skin it's mostly patchouli, especially in the base. Velvet by Commodity was my answer to By the Fireplace. Layers better.

Nasamotto does not release what notes they have in there fragrances so not sure where you got the notes in Pardon. Im guessing thats someones thaught of what notes are in there

An interesting comparison of some very different fragrances. Nasomatto have been getting heaps of praise here on RUclips. I really need to give this company's perfumes a good run out. Atkinsons is a bit of a left field sample. They are a very old London-based perfume house similar to Penhaligons or Floris but seem to be largely overlooked online. That's curious as many of their fragrances appear to be well regarded by customer reviews. I would probably get into them except that I have quite a large collection of fragrances from the other two houses and don't want to become too typecast on classic English perfumery.

How does Straight to Heaven Extreme compare to Taziana Terenzi Ursa.Some say Ursa is similar but performs better than STHE.
They have a same especially in the drydown but with Ursa there is much more going on. Sabastian from Smelling Good Fragrances made a video about this comparisation

I wanted to like killian fragrances so bad from all the reviews , but they absolutly suck. Pardon is 1 of my favs , nasamatto has some very good scents but there sprayer on top of the bottles break all the time and do not spray well is my only complaint on them. You love mfk osm which is 1 of my favs and now pardon which is another of my favs , you should check out AJ arabia Gold 1 by widian

Thank god you said you didn’t like by the fireplace. I didn’t like it either, and the only way to explain it is I hate how nauseating it is. It smells nice, it’s Smokey and sweet, but something about it is just….weird?

Just a little spray and it has so good performance...You just dont have to go 15 sprays with Nasomatto 😃
I think there is some notes in Pardon and Black Afgano that are the same.
I can feel the same DNA but Pardon is more easy to wear .
