That Battleship sure was the highlight! Antares definitely took inspiration from it for HMS Temeraire in Eviternity 2! As for Struggle's BFG replacement, you'll find out in the next map!
in the city area, there's an arrow on the ground showing you where to run across the ship (I missed it too), and you're meant to jump off that tall building to the supercharge. in the yellow key area, there's two buttons that are covered until you hit the unit 1/2 switches. somehow I missed one of those and pressed the button by accident while it was still covered, and when I got to the exit I wondered why I was missing 100+ enemies. lol
Did I see BB-65 on that ship in the map? If so, that's the uncompleted, fifth Iowa-class battleship that the U.S. Navy was building during WWII. She would have been named the U.S.S. Illinois. She was never completed, and was eventually scrapped.
The arch-vile was targeting an other enemy. But it switched the target, after it got hit from splash damage of grenade, hitting the top part of arena, at 31:19
@@_antares031 Unfinished Iowa class, like Kentucky. And you know what happened to the bow of the Kentucky, I trust. At least that part of her was put to good use.
The mini city in this map is so cool

"OK, I think it's maybe time for another save..." "MOO!" "Oh... God!" Yeah, I think that's a good save point too.
Omg! I forgot about this map with all the awesome doomcute!! Just imagining doomguy in a godzilla costume climbing on the buildings lmaooo
there was only a big big arrow to point you towards the ship and jump :) only a big arrow. ;)

This map is really something special. You’ll feel like a DoomGod playing this after Stardate 😅
Great map, great music.
Excellent level! Well played!
very cool level, both the mini city/buildings and the epic music!

You're exactly right! Antares (who created the wad) mentioned this in a reply to another comment. Good eye 😄
This went from a tech base to a city level real quick. 😆 Love the doomcute. ❤
And congrats on not using your saves!
GG's. Very fun watch.
That ship looks 🙀
Ok, so the notes so far are:
1. Look at the ground
2. Look for green things in the sea of blue
3. Look for jumps off platforms
Ok, got it.
27:57 "Probably gonna be a 500-map enemy or something..."
Yeah, kinda... :P
An enemy that spawns 500 extra maps 🤪
Mini City or Giant Doomguy? 🤔 Loved the map!
This soundtrack reminds me of auger zenith
31:18 did you get hit by the archie here, except with no flames warning you ahead of time?

So the ship on EviternityII was actually inspires by the one on this map?
Cause they are really alike
Same map author, so it's probably just him flexing, and reminding players of his previous megawad.
The ship in Evi2 is the HMS Temeraire (a real ship and the map's namesake). This one is the same one. Maybe Antares just really likes this ship lol.
@@SohakmetGameplay It's actually a different ship. This one is USS Illinois, one of two Iowa-class battleships that never been finished.

I think it's a model of the freedom tower at 23:26 ?
and Burj Dubai/Khalifa at 27:34 ?
