I found one of these heads in the shop and was wondering what the ring on the bottom was for. I was thinking it was a way to adjust the head without a tool. This is an eye opener.
hi dont have a makers name on it anywhere its years old but good quality also has two facing speeds on it, must have a look at your mill what type is it
I miss this type of work. I run a HBM pretty much daily still, but in the automotive and custom car building side. Fairly basic machining.

That’s the auto feed and on this model you can turn a slot on that ring and it will give you another feed rate maybe it’s the same on yours

I have an Wolhaupter Upa4 with Morsetaper 5, To my HBM. It is made in Germany. My HBM is an TOS H80. Hi from Sweden
