Love your colors of yarn, will make wonderful socks! As an added feature of this video, you answered my long time question of can a silk hankie be carded (and how). Thanks so much.
Feed the lickerin with small amounts of fiber at a time pulled apart so it's fluffy like a cloud and then turn the carder slower it may sound slower method but you will save time and trouble in the end and fiber too.
The fibre getting stuck on the lickerin (no idea how to spell it 😂) is a feature of Louet carders. I’m not sure what the purpose is though! Or how to get it to feed onto the big drum 🤔
The socks are looking great. Fab spins too. So handy to have so much fibre to choose from to make a great contrast. 😜
Thanks! and yes, there are so many benefits of have a fibre stash around to play with and blend.

Love watching your process! I've been spinning almost 3 years now, and I learn so much observing how others spin. Thanks for this series!
Thanks! Happy you are enjoying this series, I also love watching youtube videos of people spinning, there is always something new to learn!!

I only crochet, so I don't understand half of the terms used, but I still enjoyed this video very much.
Glad you enjoyed! I crochet as well, although not as much lately as I used to.

Yeah I don't feed fibre in that way very often because I just seem to lose so much of it into the lickerin.
What size carding cloth are you using?
