I have both. Bought the Sports and was then gifted the 65t's. I used to prefer the Sports for the gym, because of the HR monitor, but ever since getting a Samsung Galaxy watch during the last Black Friday sales, I've preferred the 65t's. Particularly when travelling, it's more versatile and less pernickety to fit.
I just picked up the Jabra Elite Active 65T's and used them for the first time this morning. About 45-50 minutes of weight lifting followed by 25 minutes on the elliptical and the 65T's never once felt like they were going to fall out. They were very comfortable and the sound was quite good. I have used the Apple Airpods and Powerbeats in the past and the 65T's are just in a class of their own. I absolutely could not go back now after only one workout. I still have to fine tune the sound and set up Google Assistant, but I can't wait for tomorrow's workout to use them again.
That’s awesome! I’ve also used all of those in the past and can see why you wouldn’t go back. Glad you got a secure fit with these, seems like the 65Ts will work great!

If you get a really secure fit in your ears then you might be alright
Best advice, buy the Jabra elite active 65t and then buy the foam tips that come with elite sport. Makes it super comfortable, better seal (thus improving sound quality and bass), and it stays in your ear no matter what

Why is it so hard to find earbuds that don't compromise in one aspect just for another aspect. All i really need is for some earbuds that don't fall out during a workout, and are comfortable enough to use throughout the day.
Always difficult with in-ear earphones, having something fitting tightly inside your ear canal is more than likely going to be uncomfortable. Certainly a challenge for 2019 though!

I'd go with the Bluetooth 5.0. Bought some Samsung Icon ear buds from a colleague who upgraded to the latest model that have 5.0. Did a sound comparison and it was a world of difference. Based on that unscientific test, I'd go with the 5.0's.
I like them but at the same time I don't. They are good on call quality though so that's a huge plus for me. Mich better than my Bose but I still wish they had certain features.
I’ve had a pair of Jabra elite sport since March 2016. Got it for my birthday. Great for y’all to finally catch up lol. As for the IP rating, you can bring them into the shower if you want. I do it quite a lot
@@Grimmjow19872 I have the sport version, I'm no audiophile, but the sound quality is above decent, way better than any apple earphones, but I also have not adjusted anything in the sound app. My only problem is finding the right fit with the ear tips because both my ears need different sizes and finding the right one is difficult. do note that these are not noise cancelling and that if it starts to come a little loose in the ear due to improper fit you will lose some of the sound if it's not snug in the ear.
One of the best critiques of both models, however it's missing comments about multi-point, which is useful if you want simultaneous connection with two devices. The Active 64T supports multi-point and the Elite Sport does not. Other than that, I thought this was a very useful review and you are spot on about the pros and cons. Thank you!!
Thank you very much for your kind words! Yes, this is a very good point. I actually omitted simultaneous multi-device connections this time since i've found that people tend not to care too much. It also helped keep the video length down. I also found that one can run into connection and playback issues when utilising this feature and in general I would not recommend using it. The auto-connect and auto-pause features, for example, are a lot smoother and work more often when connected to only one device. It wouldn't have been easy to go in-depth into these in a short amount of time, unfortunately. But thanks for raising the fact that the 65Ts support multiple devices simultaneously! You're right, I hadn't mentioned it, so thanks for spreading some more info to the community!
I thought it was a superb review also! I feel an area it lacked was speaking about size/bulk difference between the two. How far it stuck out of the ears, did it feel heavier or not.. etc.
Carl Jasper The Elite Active 65t allows two devices to be connected at a time, and the Elite Sport allows one device to be connected at a time. Each product has a Bluetooth pairing list of up to eight devices. By the way, I read this information on the Jabra website. :)
Wow great review. I've just decided that I'm going to risk it with the Elite Active due to the slightly better sound quality. If I feel like they're not going to stay in my ear then I can always swap them out for the Sport. Thanks for taking the time to compare these 2 models. Definitely helped me decide
In case anyone is wondering, I ended up returning these after about a week. The headphones sounded great, especially for them being completely wireless. And I loved all the features. But they did fall out a couple times at the gym during exercises that required me to move around a bit. I might get the Sport edition or just wait for CES 2019 where I read they're going to announce tons of new "truly wireless" headphones. That is all! Thanks again for a great review
I’m sorry they didn’t work out! Really good idea to wait and see what CES offers though. It’s happening right now and there’s already been a load of exciting announcements. Give it a few weeks and the reviews will start coming through to help you make an informed decision!
@@insidetechltd such as? they better make one for sport and daily use, so you can connect it with other devices than your phone. Hopefully they arenot too expensive tho
I have the Jabra Sport and have to say, the audio is amazing. However, I’ve had them for close to a year and the audio on the left side has gone down significantly in comparison to the other, where I thought I was loosing my hearing. But then realized it was the earbud itself. I read other reviews elsewhere to double check if this was common and seen the same. I’m actually surprised I’m not seeing the same here. I watched this review because I wanted to compare the Sport to the Active since the sport was good aside from the one going low. But I see Sport it is. As much as I love them, I don’t know if I want to drop that much money down with the possibility of them to go back down again. Another thing I see no one talk about is if you remove the right earbud you loose audio for the left. No one thinks that’s a bit of an issue? At least with airbuds you can alternate and either side will work. Just my experience and little review.
Hi. For the past 9 months I have been using the Jabra Elite Active and loved them. I have just bought the 75t as a Xmas treat for myself. For any of you wondering if it’s worth upgrading the answer is a definitive YES. The sound quality is way better. The call quality is better. The fit is still awesome. But the real winner..... I went to the gym with them the first time. And I almost forgot they were in there. Because they are so light I thought they were going to fall out. But no it’s just that they’re so light it feels like they might for the first 10 minutes. Then when I realised they wouldn’t it was pure heaven. Seriously these are truly brilliant.
Not to mention USB-C! I’m very jealous, I still haven’t been able to get hold of a pair to review...maybe 2020 will bring more luck! Enjoy your new earbuds!
Hello! Yes, U.K. too! I was keeping tabs on both of those but hadn't had any luck so far. I've got a busy schedule and have missed the early release buzz now anyway, but I look forward to hopefully trying them out in a few weeks!
InsideTech - I went online to John Lewis on Tuesday. They arrived at my Collect location earlier today. Dead easy. Honest. Get them. You will thank me. He he
Excellent review. I’ve been in the market for an ideal headphone solution for my set of needs. You sold me on the Active 65t. And I’m subscribed - great tech channel in a sea of noise.
I have had my Jabra Elite sport for 8 months now. Using them 6-7 hours 5 days a week at work listening to audiobooks. And i have had no issues with them what so ever. Super product :-)
I’m so glad I found this video as I couldn’t decide which product was best for me. I’ve decided to get the Elite Active 65t. I hope I can get a secure fit once I finally get back into running.
Great review! I have the Jabra Elite Sport and they really do fit my ears properly. In the video it looks like yours fit different than mine. You said that the sound quality also isn`t the best because of the fit. For me, the wing part of the ear buds is hidden, so you can`t see them from the outside. Have you tried to put them on with the wing in front and then turn it backwards? This might improve the fit and sound quality. Keep up your great reviews!
I think I might’ve tried every conceivable way to position the earbuds in my ear! I think, for me, it comes down to the shape of the earbud. The Active 65T is shaped in a way that means the eartip sits deeper into my ear canal - this has a secure fit for passive noise isolation and also pumps the audio directly into my ear drum for deeper, richer sound. The Sport eartips simply don’t sit that far into my ear canal - less passive noise isolation and some of the audio leaks into my surroundings rather than going to directly into my ear drum, so some detail is lost. Thanks for the support!
Great share … I just picked up the sport version and I’m currently doing the learning curve I absolutely agree the control buttons need a bit of upgrading bad once you get used to what you need to do the device seems to work quite well
Thank you. Yes it is a small downside, but to be honest I’d normally use my phone/Apple Watch to control playback anyway so it’s not too often I need to use the built in controls. Otherwise, yes, they work really well!
I've been using the elite sport since march 2018 and it's the best tech I've purchased so far (in terms of wireless earbuds). The audio, the fit and the sturdy aspect of this product are very much appreciated(i have dropped this product quite a lot of times due to careless handling). It's worth every penny, so far.
So I’m recapping on my last comment and my 65t are now charged up. Yes they’re worth the money and yes I love them as well. I will be missing the heart rate monitor but it’s ok I never really used it. 65t sound quality is as good as the sport elites and doesn’t require the Wing tip which actually hurts my ears after x amount of hours. Great upgrade from the sport elites.
Great to hear people follow up like this, it's so interesting! So were the 65Ts staying in your ears ok? I reckon I could probably run with mine but I just couldn't risk it!
InsideTech yes they fit great! But maybe Bc of the gel tips, it made outside noise to leak through. I’m a big goer for the foam tips Bc it’s ability to form into the ear and truly reduce noise. When I hear outside noise the quality of the music lowers as I need to focus but I think the new sports Elites version have the hear through function and I tried turning it off and on and my jaw dropped Bc there is a big diff. 65ts were good but just not comparable to the sports elite other than battery life and the fit without the wingtips.
I would have to give the winner to the jabra sport elites it just fits better with almost none to less outside noise. When I’m at the gym lifting or running I don’t like hearing other things so I can focus. The sport elites accompanied with the gel tips and wing tips make a great fit. So 2018 Christmas, jabra had a great deal and I got another pair for 149.99 versus 219.99. So hands down jabra sports elite. I have the all black and a pair of the grey and green. They’re solid and I’ve dropped them so many times and sweated on them a lot. Hope this helps.
I've had the Jabra Elite65 ones for over a year now and they still work just as well as when they were brand new! 👍 The sound quality is phenomenal, the battery life is excellent, and they're just on a whole nother level from all other headphones I've ever used. I wear them when I work out for 2 hours, I wear them while mowing my yard, I've even worn them at work a few times in the warehouse. I absolutely love them! The charging case is very handy and keeps them charged AND protected!! I HIGHLY recommend these to everyone looking for great earbuds!!!
Great review! I re-watched several times as I wasn't sure which pair to buy. Sadly, I lost my Bose Soundsport Pulse, a couple months ago, and figured I'd invest in a good updated pair. Thank you for such a detailed, professional review, and for responding to the questions in the comments section. With all your information, I'm going with the Elite Active 65t. Subscribed
Hey, i just lost my elite sports hehe, so id like to know how the bose is? they look rather stupid, sticking out, aren't the prone to fall out due to the added weight in the end?
@@asbjrnandersen768 Oo no! Hahaha... The Bose were not bad. I won't lie though, I was a bit disappointed with the max volume. I used them mainly for the gym and running, and always wished for an extra kick, but the volume might work for you. One of my coworkers also had them, although not with the heart rate monitor, and he was happy with the volume. Other than that, the only other gripe I had with them was how bulky they were on the ears. They did stick out quite a lot, and looked weird, but if that's not an issue for you, then you should be fine. Before the Bose, I had the Jaybirds, don't remember which model, the Bose wired type, and also the Beats, in the ear type. As far as them falling out, it occasionally felt like they were close to falling out, so I would just twist them in to lock them back in my ears. Not a major issue. I honestly wouldn't purchase them again... don't feel they were worth the money.
I bought the Elite one, and it was pretty hard to get used to it during the firts weeks. I even thought about returning it to the store because it was very hard making it work properly. But now that i'm used to it it's perfect, and I don't regret buying it. :)
I have had the Jabra Elite Sports for 14 months and while they are likely the best sport headphones available, they fail every 3 months or so. I have had 4 pairs so far, all of which have had similar issues. For the first 12 months I was able to swap them where I brought them, but now to honour the 3-year warranty, Jabra uses a third party who have taken 3 weeks just to respond to my email! The review only covers the earphones, I though it worth warning everyone that the units are not up to heavy prolonged use, and when they fail, the 3 year warranty isn’t worth the paper it was written on.
This is a really good point - about the warranty especially. Might be something to consider when buying. Thank you for sharing this experience. Could you explain more about what issues you were having exactly? It could be that you could help others to avoid such issues in the future!
Sure. The first set had issues with recharging the battery after 3 months. These were easily swapped with my retailer as he said he had loads that had come back with the same issue. The next set lasted about 4 months before the left earbud started turn itself down, (say 10% volume of the right earbud) after 5 mins. The next set did the same thing after 3 months and the pair I have now do the same thing again, (only this time it's the right earbud that turns down the volume after 5 mins). Once I hit 12 months I stopped going back to my retailer as he pointed out the warranty is support by Jabra not him after 12 months. I contacted Jabra support who gave me their "agent" contact details. I emailed them but after a few weeks went back to Jabra who agreed I should have had a reply. After many many messages today I finally got a reply from the agent, (3 weeks after I wrote to them), and they just asked me to post my earbuds to them. I'm very disappointed. The earbuds (when they work), are excellent, but the constant failing and the poor support from Jabra (and their agent) make them a risky purchase for their cost.
Sounds like there’s nothing more you could have done. I’m sorry you had such a bad experience. This kind of thing can really tarnish your optimism about a company, even if with a future product you might have no problems. A real shame. Thanks again for giving so much info about this though! Any ideas going forward about sports earbuds then? Have you gone off ‘true wireless’ for now? Found a better alternative?
Well, there is a little more to the story. I workout everyday, so really miss not having a set to work out with. After this 4th set broke, (and not hearing anything from the agent for 3 weeks) I brought some Apple AirPods. Sadly these are a very poor substitute and compared to the sound from the Elite Sports just don't do it for me. My main thought for buying them was if they stop working Apple will just change them. However, instead I'm going to return them. So, no, I have not found a pair that work as well for sport as the Elites do. I think the only really highly recommend workout earphones are the Elite 65t Active, but I am wary of buying another Jabra product.
Sure, I can understand that. What about giving it a try and just making sure the warranty covers any issues again? I know it’s a pain to have to organise a return/refund, but if they do work out for you then at least for a while you’ll be sorted? True wireless are still in their infancy really, there’s a long way to go yet
Great review! I have been using the ACTIVE65T and I have to say that this review is 100% accurate. To me these are a major upgrade after using the AirPods for years.
This is what I said to somebody else who asked this question: - IP55 (65T) vs IP56 (Active 65T) water resistance - Built in accelerometer (Active 65T) - More rubberised texture, for a more secure fit and sweat resistance (Active 65T) - Colour options and price They are largely the same it’s just that the active are a slightly upgraded model to make them more suitable for an active lifestyle
Hi Inside tech, thank for your full review and I just purchased mine Jabra 65T. Exactly what you mentioned in this review. Very satisfied with the purchased. Thanks for helping me the Bluetooth wireless sports decision. I have purchase fund raiser wireless Bluetooth earbuds and support them but unfortunately the result was very very disappointed. I wish to watch this review early. Anyways I'm fully satisfied with Jabra elite active 65T for mine sports and daily use.
I've been absolutely thrilled with my 65T's, have had them for about 2 weeks. They sound great, are comfortable, and the features are just perfect....vol up and down, track up and down, can call google assistant. I'm really happy with them.
How does it compare to Rowkin Ascent? The company claimed that they are the first manufacturer brought true wireless earbuds with wireless charging feature. Is it any good?
They’re certainly unique and have a lot of great features: wireless charging, great battery life, touch control and USB C. Unfortunately they aren’t particularly comfortable and the bass is lacking compared to some others on the market. Comfort is subjective though so you might get on well with them!
Well...thank you very much! Ok so here are the differences: - IP55 (65T) vs IP56 (Active 65T) water resistance - Built in accelerometer (Active 65T) - More rubberised texture, for a more secure fit and sweat resistance (Active 65T) - Colour options and price They are largely the same it’s just that the active are a slightly upgraded model to make them more suitable for an active lifestyle
My wife got me a set of Elite Sports for Christmas and I was initially sceptical but after two weeks I love them. I do a lot of running and they are fantastic
Thank you. In terms of sound...it's pretty close. The Soundsport free are one of the few true wireless models that i'd say compete with the 65Ts. It's just that the poorer connection, battery and the bulky design meant that the Jabra model were better overall
The white gloves are a cool addition. No one likes looking at people's hands unless you're a hand model. Might wanna try those professional blue latex gloves those technicians use all the time.
So I thought I lost my actives and purchased the 65ts. I use the 65s to watch videos and stuff. When I located the actives I use them when working out. I bike ride with them with no issues. Would like to try the 85t but can't justify spending the money. Might need my mind changed.
to be honnest. I returned the. for 200 euro i may expect a very good audio quality and they sound the same as the ones my wife have and these were 45 euro. So unfortunately i have to look further for really good audio quality. @@insidetechltd
Bass is very good in my Elite Active 65t!!! The big secret is in the silicon ear tips that fits at the end of your earbuds. Most of people puts these that are not pushing the ear canal and feel more comfortable. I hear Tomorrowland kind of staff and beat things, and with the medium, even though I feel them pressing a little in my ear canal,, the bass is amazing. I tested the small silicon ear tips, for most convenience and suddenly bass was lost. It became thin like tremble stuff. So, make the best choice of your silicon ear tips and get the best of bass in your music!!!
Great review! Thank you for taking the time to compare our products.
No problem! Touch controls on next year's model...?
InsideTech See my comment for a counterargument on this point.
We can't make any promises about new features. We do listen to feedback though. So thank you for that.
I would never buy a headset with touch controls again.
Touch controls = bad response.
Is there a new revision of the "Elite Sport" coming out this year? Why do they still have the old Bluetooth 4.2 standard?
Finally someone did this comparison thank you

Fantastic review style. Really clear and informative, and no gimmickry. Subscribed.
Thank you so much for this feedback!
Purchased the refurbished Elite Sports for $80 from Ebay, straight from Jabra. I can't live without them now, and would pay full price if I had to.
Amazing price! Enjoy!
hows the sound, bass and all? are they loud?
How far it stuck out of the ears, did it feel heavier or not.. etc.
So if you have to switch between a laptop and a phone, the elite works fine ans the sports does not? Dealbreaker for me. Pls advise?
Carl Jasper The Elite Active 65t allows two devices to be connected at a time, and the Elite Sport allows one device to be connected at a time. Each product has a Bluetooth pairing list of up to eight devices. By the way, I read this information on the Jabra website. :)
@BobbySlaughter-Can-you-give-an-example-of-how-the-multi-point-feature-could-be-useful?
Very good review! I really appreciated the tipp regarding the model number of the elite sport :-)
No problem! And thank you very much!
Hands down the best review to have ever surfaced for any product I have ever seen or heard. Wee need more videos like this!
That’s incredibly kind, thank you very much!
Wow great review. I've just decided that I'm going to risk it with the Elite Active due to the slightly better sound quality. If I feel like they're not going to stay in my ear then I can always swap them out for the Sport. Thanks for taking the time to compare these 2 models. Definitely helped me decide
That’s great to hear, thanks for watching!
A really crisp review and comparison! Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Exactly the video I was looking for. Thanks a lot.
Perfect thing to hear as a RUclipsr, thank you!
Great breakdown, will definitely save up for the black ones!
They're my favourite too!
InsideTech - hi. I don’t know where you live but in got mine from John Lewis. Amazon don’t have stock. I am in the UK.
Hello! Yes, U.K.
He he
Great video! I have the Elite Sport and I have no regrets. The Elite Sports are far better than Airpods.
Excellent review. I’ve been in the market for an ideal headphone solution for my set of needs. You sold me on the Active 65t. And I’m subscribed - great tech channel in a sea of noise.
Really appreciate that, thanks a lot!

Can’t believe you took the gloves off. Are you feeling ok?
The gloves are undergoing a major redevelopment at the moment. I’ll post further updates soon.

I have had my Jabra Elite sport for 8 months now. Using them 6-7 hours 5 days a week at work listening to audiobooks. And i have had no issues with them what so ever. Super product :-)
That's fantastic! Long may it continue!
I’m so glad I found this video as I couldn’t decide which product was best for me. I’ve decided to get the Elite Active 65t. I hope I can get a secure fit once I finally get back into running.
Awesome. Make sure to keep us updated and let us know how you get on!
InsideTech I was going to place an order the other day, but I decided to wait until Cyber Monday!
@@gaila.9852 How was the fit for running?

That’s great! Thank you very much!
Awesome! Always useful to have long-term review input so thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for this excellent comparison! Exactly what I needed to make a purchase decision.
Wonderful to hear this kind of feedback, thank you!
ANTHONY W I’m confused. Which product do you like better?
@@OGantRAGE Great followup review..... but which one did you like now? I can't work out your preference from the two comments? Cheers
That was a great review. Much appreciated!
Thanks for watching!

Subscribed
I’m sorry you lost your Bose earphones! Thanks a lot for watching though, I hope you enjoy the 65Ts!
@@asbjrnandersen768 but just to clarify, I did not have the Bose free, just the regular Bose wireless, with the cord behind the neck
Hello
Excellent reviews
Great job. Thanks a lot.
Thank you very much!
I had both. for me jabra elite 65t are better. the others are very uncomfortable.
I certainly found the 65Ts more comfortable too. Do these make it to the top of your ‘true wireless earbuds’ list though?
I bought the Elite one, and it was pretty hard to get used to it during the firts weeks. I even thought about returning it to the store because it was very hard making it work properly. But now that i'm used to it it's perfect, and I don't regret buying it. :)
Ah that’s good! Which Elite model do you have? Sport, Active, 65T?
InsideTech which sound better
The 65Ts. Largely down to the fact I personally could get a better fit in my ear
Great thorough review.
My elite sport are coming Thursday.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy it!
Good luck, I’ve had 4 sets already....
How are they holding up now that you had them for 3 months
@@findtomdotcom they break that fast?

Awesome review mate! I’m curious how the 65t active compares with the regular 65t
This is what I said to somebody else who asked this question:
- IP55 (65T) vs IP56 (Active 65T) water resistance
- Built in accelerometer (Active 65T)
- More rubberised texture, for a more secure fit and sweat resistance (Active 65T)
- Colour options and price
They are largely the same it’s just that the active are a slightly upgraded model to make them more suitable for an active lifestyle
can Jabra Elite Active 65T use the sport life app?
Sadly, no. They are only compatible with the Jabra Sound + app.
Nope
Hi Inside tech, thank for your full review and I just purchased mine Jabra 65T. Exactly what you mentioned in this review. Very satisfied with the purchased.

How are these vs the bose soundsport in terms of sound?
Thank you. In terms of sound...it's pretty close. The Soundsport free are one of the few true wireless models that i'd say compete with the 65Ts. It's just that the poorer connection, battery and the bulky design meant that the Jabra model were better overall

Absolutely correct ^
