If you have problems with shaky/jittery aim first check if your sens isn't too high and if that's not the case imagine you're holding an egg instead of the mouse. That should loosen your grip resulting in less tension in your wrist which translates into your muscles being able to move more freely thus making your aiming smoother and easier.
This is good advice unless you have carpal tunnel or something that actually causes you to shaky such as clipping wrist get a Carpio g 2.0 if that’s the case.
I love seeing more in depth aim content like this, as well as seeing aim training gaining legitimacy as time goes on. Lots of good gems in here, thanks for making this!
5:30 Even though I'm not a coach, valorant or otherwise, I kind of disagree with the sentiment that starting on the "slow" end is the best idea. Personally when I first started playing counter strike 5 or so years ago, I started on an obscenely high sens just like any other silver noob, but I quickly noticed the low sens pattern among my favorite pro's and switched down to 75cm/360. Now, yes, my aim got dramatically better and I went from gold nova to something like LE or DMG, in a short period of time, but I very quickly stagnated and what held me back was mostly my mouse control. Even though it wasn't shaky like you would with bad mouse control and high sens, my lines were very sloppy, kind of curved, I relied a lot on prediction and raw crosshairplacement (if I didn't peek with my crosshair dead center on their face, I was guaranteed to whiff), my adjustments weren't good enough to compete, etc. This resulted in me getting hardstuck and lead to the decision of picking up aim training and getting into the aimer7/kovaaks rabbit hole. After many years of trying different stuff I realised that my mouse control was shit because the sens I was using was a crutch, a very blunt instrument that I didn't fully understand, and I reached the conclusion that what was holding me back was my extremely unclean finger and wrist movements, since a sens that low mainly relies on using shoulder and forearm which had been my main focus from the first day I started abusing low sens. The techniques I used to clean up my aim are more or less popular practices now, but I also switched my sens up a little to 50cm/360 and I'm still working on pushing it a bit down. I would recommend people that read this to start on a range between 35cm/360 and 50cm/360 and go from there, I consider these to be fairly neutral sens' since they all require a combination of fingers, wrist and arm to be played at a proficient level, and you can decide if you wanna go slower or faster depending on preference, role and goals :d
First Valorant Aim guide that is actually spot on with how to improve. I’ve been doing this for the last month not regularly but whenever I can and man does my aim feel solid. I’m not insane at any means but the consistency is so comforting. I’m a reliable top frag just about every game! Highly highly recommend following this guide.
This was a good baseline for people looking to improve aim. Remember though, aim is just one of the core fundamentals for getting better at a FPS game. You still need to develop multiple other skills that can only be attained in game. Aim complements these skills and vice versa.
Iirc I started the game iron 2 with a whopping 1600 eDPI, and i peaked diamond with an eDPI of 350. Forcing yourself to SLOW DOWN as a new player is something that I could not recommend to new players more if I tried. Woohoojin's Patience Drill, another stellar example of SLOW DOWN, take your time to line the shot up while moving, you will find you get killed less, more kills and more Headshots overall.
just gonna pitch in, you can also use rawaccel to lower your sensitivity if if you're moving your mouse slowly using motivity mode, so if you're on a high sens, you can make it so it's stable when you're trying to beam someone. imo this is much easier to get used to than being on low sens then setting your rawaccel to increase your mouse sensitivity when you move your mouse fast. I play mostly Apex on high sens and smoothly going down to low sens from high sens has been a game changer.
Are you planning to make a how to vod review video in the future? I think that would be super useful as not a lot of people can pay for valorant coaches + they would like to be able to improve on their own for free at any time in the day without scheduling a free coach. Great Video! Thanks
I have an issue with movement reading in val cuz its so hard to tell when people stop sometimes or it’ll look like they started shooting while still moving so i dont know when to shoot even i do track them 😢
I would consider myself an elite aimer I’ve never really done much benchmarks but I’m top 50 in aimlabs ranked and my hs in gridshot is like 135k. the absolutely best tip that I’ve come across just recently which really is common sense but not emphasized enough is making sure you don’t squeeze the life out of your mouse when you aim. just make sure your hands aren’t tense, and also clean up your lines so either slow down or lower y-axis dpi only. (I’ve done both lol) I practice my lines by doing accuracy focused tasks my absolute favourite is 1w4ts clusters. i just make sure that im not squeezing my mouse and im making shots in rhythm. if i start missing or notice my hands are hurting i will slow my speed.
force my aim to adapt with low sens (800dpi 0.16/0.18), and i got kill more than using medium/high sens. My micro is just suck when using med/high sens
The thing is there is no objective best sensitivity its all about whats comfortable so if you try lets say 50cm/360 and it hurts when you aim maybe your hand cramps. raising your sens isnt a bad idea and will more than likely benefit you in the long term. Thats why its never a good idea to just copy someone else like a pro player for instance.
used to play on .18 800dpi as this was my first pc shooter , plat in episode 6. now i’m immortal 1 with .24 800 dpi still trying to master mouse control so i can raise my sens a little bit more .
I'm asc with a sense of 125 edpi... not even on the chart I don't really know what to do because I have wrist issues to on anything higher my aim gets extremely shaky
I had 1600 dpi 0.75 sens in val for 2 years becuse i had a small mousepad, very recently changed to 800dpi 0.545 sens. I dont know if thats the ideal tho, feels amazing clicking heads so consistenly but i feel like i can go lower in sens, should i push it?
Did you acc notice a substantial improvement in game after doing that aim training? your scores to start wern't horrid or anything. How do you feel in game now aim wise. Pretty much how can someone translate that aim training in game.
So on the aimlabs ranked im almost immortal. But in val im only plat 2. Do i just need more hours in val rather than 3 party aim training? Im approaching 90 hours on val.
man, i really dont know how to go any lower than what i have it at... I used to play at 1600 1.0, but am now playing at 800dpi x 0.6. If I go any lower to even let's say 0.5, I'm struggling with moving my mouse to where I want it to if let's say I want to turn 90, or even 45 degrees. Any tips and ideas? I don't even know if I'm aiming with my wrist or not moving my arm enough
Oh god, thats a lot of takes, Imo PSA is great and u should def try it a few times, caus comfortability w sens changes while u improve. And as an aim trainer main myself I switch sens too, even use randomizers. Its caus its a hand eye coordination skill and its already proven that it makes u improve faster. And ofc change ur sens in scenarios its super good. But for the same task a lot of ppl will use the same sens for one session. So its completely fine to try to find ur perfect sens in val caus the aiming techniques in general will not change in val. So ur perfect sens will be one that compliment all the techniques needed in val. It will work for a long time, dont switch ur sens in one session of val. BUT I am not saying to never change it caus ur comfortability will change. so there is a shifting spektrum of comfy senses and in there there will be one which feels the best. Id call that a perfect sens. (Btw I hate sens acceleration >:c)
Also Overflicking and Underflicking is a highly discussed topic. U can use diff techniques for example Snowy is a lovely technique which is perfection of Underflicks and Precision. But even tho the MBM method give u higher scores since its relying on bruteforcing speed on the initial flick and not respecting movement reading. I would still recommend vod reviewing Snowy for improving and trying to copy that. If u go for leaderboard stuff just MBM it away g. For val itself its a whole nother topic.

@@megalugia8I mean, if you have carpal tunnel then you should be relaxing more in the first place

350 is really fast still
@@megalugia8yeah but its an acceptable high sens, 1600 edpi is like wtf are you cooking type sens
best aim guide ive seen thats good for high level val

While tracking, I noticed it’s really good to grip your mouse lightly and try not to overreact to movement changes in the target.

great ted talk dopai
Dopai is gonna make it big i swear W ahhhhh COACH
W dopai as usual
Great content as always Dopai
matty ow has a very good video called how to PASU and it explains the reading skills of dynamic a little more in depth, but nonetheless great video!

I'm running 400 EDPI or like 32.5 cm/360, may go down to 37ish depending on how I feel. So far tho its been one of the better sensitives I've tried.
i'd recognize that presentation template anywhere, u gotta go at least two more rows down
Master Dopai delivers again

Perfect Sens exist, it's just that it changes everyday according to your mood
Viscose made a great video about aim acceleration if you're interested

i think the tracking tasks are benchmarked unfairly, i have a similar distribution where my tracking tasks are just way worse rank-wise than the rest
since when is minecraft low sens? is there something i'm not getting?

you aren't moving your arm enough. you're trying to aim only with your wrist even for large movements

This was a super cool educational video. Definitely deserve a sub from me :)
I don't understand how people can play on 320 edpi, I can barely make a 180.
how do i setup the benchmarking

I started playing with a 1400 edpi, and lowered it to 400 and my HS% went up dramatically
Interesting that 280edpi is on the higher end. This is exactly what I use after analysis of like 800 pros and streamers. 283 was the median edpi.
directions unclear, i cant miss shots now
