Merry Christmas and happy holidays! :) Let's celebrate with our boi Timmy, the French-American prince. Since the first compilation now has over 2M views, and it's been two years (this is nuts, I'm still getting comments everyday so thank you!), I thought it was the right time to post a sequel.

5:38 he’s saying that it’s a challenge for an actor to act without blinking, not that it’s an exorcism hahah ! His accent made it sound a bit like exorcisme but he said exercice haha
OMG thanks a lot because I replayed it like a hundred times and I always heard "exorcisme" which sounded really weird to me but I gave up after spending so much time trying to get it right. So thank you haha that makes way more sense

Sometimes his accent slips a little and he puts some letters at the wrong place, I know in cmbyn when the movie starts he says about Oliver « l’usurpateur » and although I’m a native French speaker it took me a while understanding what he was saying because It didn’t sound right

It’s a really astute observation! Being bilingual can put people into “2 minds” where not only their personality but the way they think and their body gestures are even different. I observe the same for my family as well. Apparently Chalamet once said he dreams in French.
It happens to all of us, switching between two languages.

He speaks French. The light accent he has comes from growing up in the US and speaking English 90% of the time.
@@claireh8560 He totally does, and I'm envious. My mom never taught me her native language because we lived here in the US, and it made me sad when I grew up. He does still hunt for words sometimes, though. If you watch his complete Quotidien interview, he'll randomly ask how to say a word in French. But that's totally understandable. If you only spent a few weeks in France every year you're not going to come upon every single word that you might ever need to say. Personally, I could tell he was working on it because in one of these interviews he's sort of slow, and then when he's on Quotidian he's speaking quite fast. I thought it was very impressive. I think he's a gamer, he's just totally willing to jump in there and give it his best, and keep a sense of humor and humility about it, and it's totally charming. I've just discovered him, and my 18 year old self would have had a mad crush. 😍

No, he is not a native French speaker but he has a great accent and speaks like someone who learned to speak French when he was young. He does make mistakes, usually using “le” instead of “la” or vice-versa.

It's nice to know how he took it in stride about how he got kicked out of a restaurant in LA cos its 'member only' 12:45 these are probably some factors/experiences that makes him so modest and humble about his career. Sure he's a well-known actor by now but it's still very early in his career to be acting like a diva and to rest on his laurels.
