Lovely motorhomes the Adria! Great review Karina! Managed to book a short break in Devon from the 14th, back on the 18th! Day before the nec! I'll be knackered before I start! See you soon xxx
Thanks Karina and Jules. We completely agree with your comments on this, Adria. We bought a 6 month old 2023 Compact DL, but also only found out the bad points after a 16 week tour of Europe. Definitely go for the bigger fridge as you recommend. As you also say, compact sounds wonderful, but, it was too narrow to have to squeeze past each other in the galley area. And the wardrobe under the foot of the beds was really awkward to use for a long period. Otherwise great automatic on the Fiat, lovely to drive. But we sold it and hoping our second motorhome with better space, fridge, huge wardrobe and dressing room is our last. Keep up the good work. 👏
Thank you for watching Julian and leaving your own owner experience of your Compact. Having owned a Coral and a Compact, (and currently a Matrix on loan), we would opt for the wider motorhome due to this reason, more space inside. The Compact is much easier on the narrow roads and lanes so comes in to its own there. Enjoy your next motorhome.. 😊👍
Just found your channel and binged on your videos, easy to watch with your laidback presenting. Love this motorhome, very much our style as we have been looking at a lot of videos but the style of the home is more traditional wood looking. The only thing we see missing in them is a microwave which we would want if we buy one as we don't use a cooker much. Maybe motorhome manufacturers will catch up and add some form of microwave convection air oven.
Thank you for watching 😊 You will find microwaves in the UK manufacturers of motorhomes, more so than the European models. They don’t tend to fit them …some UK buyers find somewhere to after market fit them in a cupboard or take one in the garage space. We do miss having one, we take an air fryer with us as a back up to the gas oven. Enjoy watching our videos and I hope you get some inspiration 😊😊
Thanks for watching Steve, yes, we liked our Compact for that reason when we lived in Somerset. You do find the wider wing mirrors on a non-compacts are always fun on narrow roads. The compromise is, internally you lose space..but you can’t have it all. To be honest, you don’t really learn which motorhome is best for you until you’ve spent lots of money and gone on your first trip 😂😂😊 Have a good week.. I am taking the Mustang around the Lakes this week.
Hi Guy’s, did you notice if it still has the drop down TV in the front? I think they’ve missed a trick not putting a proper door between the bedroom and kitchen. It looks a step up in quality from the Fiat Compacts, I’m looking forward to having a look at it at the NEC. Cheers Shaun.
Morning, thanks for watching, off the top of my head I don’t know but on the download sheet it does say TV cupboard, so hopefully still the drop down system, I liked that in mine. Enjoy having a look..that sounds dangerous 😂 SAW
Isn’t some of the extra length on the VW base due to the extended bonnet size? It certainly looks like a longer ‘nose’ to me. We’ve got a 2024 Compact DL on the Fiat and after 4500 miles, love it. Sure, it’s narrow inside but for me, the benefits of that far outweigh any negatives.
Thanks for watching Kate, yes I believe it will be taken up with the longer bonnet, I did think that at the time but it is over a foot longer so need to take a closer look at it, Unfortunately the show was busy and I could only dash round it. I loved our Compact DL 😊
Why on earth have Adria not specified an electronic handbrake? To have the manual handbrake mounted between the two front swivel seats is just madness!
Nice review, thanks👍🏼Would purchase tomorrow if it was available without having to wait a year to take delivery, or has that situation improved recently? (we live in Spain)
Thank you for watching, I don’t know about Spain but waiting times have certainly reduced…with the availability of the VW chassis I would hope that would be the case with the new Max. 😊
The Max does not give any more interior room. The extra body length is all due to the bonnet length as the VW engine is mounted lengthways wheras the Fiat is transverse.
Thank you Richard, I have taken this on board after a few comments and have now made my pronunciation of the word longitudinal clear..hope you enjoyed the rest of the review though..
@HereWeTow Yes. The reviews are very good. Maybe a good idea to spend a little more time on each van and also give judgement on build quality and faults. All conversations have their drawbacks. I could do a whole video on the faults of our Carthago even though we love it and would not change for another van. We are relying on you as independent judge to highlight the essential aspects of the vans you review . Keep up the good work.
Thanks, sorry to hear you have had issues with your Carthago, that is one of my favourite manufacturers if I was buying myself. I will take on board your comments regards build and faults.. have a good week 😊
Love your presentation skills, lovely van that 👌👍🙌
Thank you Simon, I really appreciate your comment 😊

Thank you for watching Mark 😊
I enjoyed watching the video, I particularly like the Adria Brand 😊
Thanks for watching Jamie, yes, it is one of my favourites as you know. 😊
Thanks guys. Nice one. Yup the VW is my choice. Also the narrow motor home comes in handy… single track roads as I am finding out.
