Part 1 - Dead Rose Up An Octave:
• Chelsea Grin - Dead Ro...
Part 2 - Metal Up An Octave (... Going Up The Alphabet):
• "Metal" Up An Octave (...
Guitar Tuning:
Double Drop G0
alternate title: if Black Tongue made a Chelsea Grin cover
If Black Tongue actually played in G0 that would be real bad news for my poor little 8 string
@@rinnimalfy3453 Everyone gangster till the vocalist starts growling in drop G0.
@@rinnimalfy3453 nah i saw spitirbox live and rotoscope sounded great and its G#0. with the right tech team it can sound amazing
@@apachexprime4768 that song is drop f# with an octave drop lol pretty sure they only hit the low g with it though
You rock Kevin & that 6 ft Djent Stick played like a Keyboard really rocked the lockdown
This sounds so stupid (in a good way) hahaha
Keep on with the great content Kevin! ♥🙌
I don't know why all the youtubers are taking over the 9-string breakdown music instead of real brutal bands. It's not a bad thing, I just wanna hear this stuff live.
Cause this will never sound good live lol
@@ilokikoval it can indoors. At the appropriate venue.
The Lowest G Note of the 11 String Guitar
I think the drop tunings are more interesting because we're already used to hear things in high pitch (aka solos and whatever).
But Im curious about other effects (flanger, wah, etc) on those super thick strings
You'd be surprised how many songs aren't in standard tuning from your childhood.
*That was pretty heavy!*
Безумие 🤟
Yo, what's the string gauge for G-0? I'm using 0.125 on Agile Septor Elite 830 for G#-0 and it sounds good! Also found that G#0 sounds more heavy than G0 or A0
I agree that G#0 sound damn godly heavy, i got a guitar with that tuning, an agile 830 too but with a .120, then there goes my 9 string agile , also a 30 scale with a .145 for E0, and damn even if its really damn low i like the sound of it, also i dont tune it in drop tuning for EB but more like E0 standard, E0 then follwowed by A0, so you get the rest i guess
Curious, what gauge strings do you use for these low tunings? Where do you buy them? Your channel has inspired me to get a 10 string but I'm thinking "where the f*ck do you get a .120 gauge string for the low G#?"
Kallium makes custom low tuning strings
Would normal bass strings not work in this case and then add standard guitar strings for the highs, probably cheaper than custom strings if so?
@@DommoDommo holy shit you are a godsend! THANK YOU!
@@MrBradschannel that is a really good idea, I wonder if 10 string owners are doing that
Kallium strings are what I use. They're amazing strings, and you can get them in super longscale (40"). That's what creates an amazing low end is the scale. Your strings have full range of motion to vibrate and get those overtones out. Carl Thompson tried to convince me of that years ago and I'm glad I went for it, cuz that tone is so good!
I really don't find that low = brutal. It depends on the writing. There are incredibly heavy songs written in standard tuning
to some degree a lower tuning does give a heavier sound... though I'd say more important than tuning is the tone of the bass and guitar together that really makes something sound heavy.
Very very nice... I really like how it sounds actually what gauges did you use?
you loosened up the dentures of this old man. thank you.
I love it!
Sic Man! Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeen! :) \M/
Low is the way to go!
10 string revisited:
You're already hitting diminishing returns when you go to 9 strings, unless you go higher instead.
Look up Sleep Token, they use Double drop tunings, in the most beautiful way.
Nice guitars
would you look at a song I did and make it ur own? worth your time I think...
down tunning make it so tremolo and single string sound amazing but can take away chord clarity and brutality towards mud
So low can't hear the surrender between fretts
2 guitar truss rods in guitar?
You need that for 9 strings and beyond because of the neck width, otherwise it can warp the neck.
@@BrunodeSouzaLino Thanks for the info.
So you're copying off of us now. Nice. ._.
Almost no one knows who you are you have under 1,000 subs so I doubt he’s “stealing/copying” your content
@@seigeplayer6261 We've been around for over 7 years and we were doing Drop G0 content since two years ago. Just because we're not well known doesn't mean it's not stealing. We did it first.
Did you patent that tuning?
@@kerbalscuffedprogram4705 Well no, but we're saying that he's making it look like he's the world first to use that tuning but we've been already making content with it since 2 years prior. Know your facts before assuming to be the first of something, that's my gist.
His mistake is that he's trying to make it out to be some brand new thing when we've been using that tuning since long before, just because he's "notable" doesn't give him actual bragging rights. We did it first. The best he can do is try to make an Oreo out of it but there's no denying that what we've been doing is still the Hydrox.
@@WintermintP reflections were in double drop f 9 years ago. you ripped them off
