There is a good section of this video where I become tunnel visioned, and can't see the rest of the menu. I don't know why I didn't, I even hovered over the part in question several times. I left that part of the video in purely for entertainment.
Version 40.00 has been released today 7/30/22, and it can now be installed with 1920x1080 resolution. Go to Settings, Devices, Display/Monitor to change to full screen.
Matt, Celluloid is renamed mpv. 4MLinux would be a good substitute for Puppy Linux, expecially since it runs from root. It is unfortunate that Legacy OS chose antiX as a new base instead of 4MLinux, since 4ML is much more similar to the original Legacy OS. I too found the software selection of 4ML to be wanting. For example, if this OS had mtpaint instead of Gimp, I would be encouraged. (Nobody uses Gimp because of the learning curve.)
Yeah, did that off camera, it does update the OS, but not a lot else. At least it's there. There is also a link to the updater in the menu that I didn't talk about.
@@TheLinuxCast Your assistance is much appreciated. BTW, I did notice that RUclips seemingly stopped deleted my comments since a few days. Hopefully that is a sign of much needed improvements.

Don't think I'll ever be "Fine Again" if I see another distro without a freaking download link.
Right? Of all the other things wrong with this distro, that's the bit that gets me the most.
this channel is a perfect balance of education and ranting. i love it
Well that was interening... You Matt, not the WTF 4M Linux!
Thanks for the show!
LLAP
This looks like a dedicated livecd distro like puppylinux.
I skipped all the server stuff.
These little GNU/Linux builds are great for certification preps, network and security labs.
very true

it looked like u could do an zk update after installing but matt love you man great vid :D

Everything in 4MLinux is installed from Extensions on the menu.
Celluloid is the front end for mpv
Distrowatch says that the package management is TAR files.
Posted half way through the video, I see you already figured that out hahaha.
neofetch wouldn't install (correctly at least) even if the extension was tar.xz because it was a source tarball and not a binary tarball
But the "Installer" was right there Matt, on the same folder you got the documentation.
For the disto yes. I saw that after I was done filming.
I think you forgot to place this video on the playlist
Ah I did. Thank you
@@TheLinuxCast welcome
would be so much easier if you installed virtual box guest addition tools.
I tried, they didn't install.
That distro looks like it's straight from 2008 lol
So does yours...
Thanks, I hate it.
Glad I could be of assistance.

Waste of time distro.
