Gabriel man, I give you a lot of credit. These walks and hikes are extremely challenging. The fact that you do them and are honest about how you feel when doing them is appreciated. Thanks for going to these places for us.

The villages that you've been through in these past few videos are the most amazing places I've ever seen. I am truly so jealous. In my next life, this is exactly where I want to visit and explore.
A few ideas for you...I think you would really enjoy being a Base Camp manager or similar for a Himalayan expedition sometime. It would give you the opportunity to access the high altitude areas and do remote day treks over weeks, access permit only areas - contact climbing clubs back home or the Indian Climbing Federation if interested. The Himalayan Trust set up by Sir Ed Hillary also run amazing voluntary work/trekking combos in special permission remote areas. I was taught to only walk as fast uphill as you can easily breathe at high altitude (over 10000 ft) - it's slow but allows you to keep going for long distances...
Hi Gabriel, a good move to bring some snacks and other drinks with you in case you are left with no energy it's always better to have extra calories you burn so many calories on these hikes and that's the reason for getting sugar in your system quick energy to burn. You can never eat too much with the amount of walking you do. You are really getting a sense of the entire region with all that hiking and moving around I'm sure you miss the swimming and hot tubes of Japan and Iceland.
Thanks for hiking up to Rasol!! I was too lazy! I stayed in Challal in 2008. It has grown by 20x in the last 15 years!!! I never went to Malana as they do not want the traffic. Happy Travels
These mountain villages are charming. The river in the beginning of the video looks clean and inviting. If I ever go in that region of India I will probably stay at least two months.
Lol A momentary flash on future senior moments but instead of reading glasses, they are sunglasses. 😂 What a workout! And what an interesting village! Always enjoy your India content.
Amul fresh cream is not a drink. It is used in cooking to make curry creamy. It is also used to make desserts like cake, fruit cream, ice cream, etc. If you want whipped cream, you have to whip it up with sugar. Indians don't eat whipped cream out of a can and that kind of thing won't be available except in some shops in big cities.
Great 👍🏾 views and adventure on the trails in the mountains of Himalayas . You definitely deserve a beer 🍺 when you get to the top of the village in the mountains of Himalayas Wow . Looks amazing. Keep up the great work my friend.Peace ✌🏾❤️💯
Good morning Sir from Germany. You have a great vlog, and it's amazing to see the real life of the India citizens. For me as a German it's crazy that you have in the Himalayan internet and Smartphone connection, where we have here in the center of Europ have a lot of internet blind spots.By the way, whats the price for Internet in India? I will follow you a while, take care and have a save trip.
For a little over 3 euros, you can get 2 GB of data per day for 28 days! Most telecoms have comparable plans. 4G coverage is generally good throughout India, but it may be weaker in the mountains, so it's important to choose one with good coverage where you'll be using it the most.
Hi Gabe: Interesting vlog! Every hike seems to be a tough one physically. Speaks volumes of your fitness level that you are able to do these hikes almost on a daily basis.
Darjeeling is in West Benagl on the other side of Nepal. According to google it's a 39 hour drive from here. 😛But I was there earlier this year, cool town: ruclips.net/video/kuUSymq7P6s/видео.html
Vashist is beautiful but so much construction of structures. Try visiting Sissu just across the 10 km long new Atal tunnel. One can experience Contrasting view in 5 minutes. Before entering the tunnel its Solang valley with Green views and suddenly after the tunnel at Sissu its very rusty rugged views with beas river flowing quite fast. Have fun. Manali and surroundings are still one of my personal favorite. I visited it 1st time 50 years ago. Well done Happy travelling! Cheers!
Hi, Can you speak about the altitude and how it affects you, great trip, so interesting.,, What age group do you think can make this trip? Is insurance dear for India? Many thanks.
Climbing heights puts your lungs and fitness to test at all altitudes but generally speaking, altitudes above 8000 feet (2500 m) is the threshold for high altitude illness (like headache, nausea, dizziness, fall in oxygen saturation and in severe cases pulmonary oedema and cerebral oedema) related to low oxygen levels caused by low atmospheric pressure although some physically weak/unfit people, older people, people with comorbidities and dormant illnesses related to lungs and the heart may begin falling sick at altitudes as low as even 5000 feet. Oxygen therapy, simple arrangements like carrying oxygen cans, breathing exercises for lungs, medicines like Acetazolamide when started a day or two before gain in such sort of altitudes above 8000 feet (trading name of the medicine is Diamox), acclimatisation by staying for 2-3 days every 2000 feet gain in altitude and consumption of light food before trekking, staying optimumly hydrated helps in alleviating such situation. Fit men below fifty years of age and fit women below 45 won't have much issue negotiating the heights Gabe has done in Himachal Pradesh in this series unless suffering from comorbidities or dormant diseases of the lungs, the heart or even arthritis. Kasol shown in this video has average elevation of 5150 feet (that is much below 8000 feet threshold) while the Rasol village shown in the same video sits at 8200 feet altitude.
These treks are for tourists. Right now you are in off season otherwise you'd see a lot of people trekking these villages to find good weed. If you want to do better treks then go to Uttrakhand or tougher treks in Himachal where tourist won't go. For example Itchoo village in Ladakh, you won't regret this trek.
