Thanks so much, a good squirt of Willie Duggan (that’s what we’re calling it from now on too) and a bit of patience and the door opens again. Great video, could actually see what was going on, which is always useful. Will share in the doblo FB group as this is a common problem.
Superhappy i found thus video last night :) I was gonna order a new rear handle today , but i just took off the inner cover and sprayed and freed the rusty lock . Its as good as new now:D Thanks :D
I do loads of Iveco doors that are pretty similar... this is a familiar situation. :-) They just gunk up & get stuck. Upside with this Doblo is you can see the lock once you take stuff off.. Iveco cunningly hide them behind the inner door steel. I cunningly cut a socking great hole using an angle grinder as life is too short to spend hours elbow-deep in an Italian door, feeling for fiddly plastic bits. The door card covers the hole, the lock works & Iveco don't get the large sum of money that they quoted the owner for them to do it.. :-)
I agree totally, if cutting a nice tidy viewing hole is needed just do it. If you can see what you are doing it has to be a better finish job in my opinion. Well done James 💪💪👍👍
That's definately a mechanics job Peter, good old italian quality plastic designed junk , well done on that one , not the best vehicle's that Fiat put their name to , your customer will be happy with his 25 euro invoice as we work for nowt 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍💪💪💪🎅🎅
A bit of a state I'd say. A vehicle doesn't have be to show room. But hey clean your vehicle before it goes to service lol. A job I did a heater blower fan , passenger Area looked like a garbage can .just not cool lol 🍺🍺
I’d say that van has an interesting history 😂 Very insightful Peter and grinding the bolt a great idea rather than turning on the bulkhead
Exhaust all opinions Damien when stuck 😬😂😂😂
Thankyou so much! I just fixed the back door of my 2007 fiat Doblo van that didn’t open for 2 months! Again! Thank you SO MUCH!
Well done Gary, fair play to you 💪💪💪
Thanks pal. Couldn't work out what was going on before I saw this, but makes perfect sense now .
I’m glad to be able to help 😉🙏🙏

Handy Michael if ever you need to fix a back door lock on a Fiat Doblo 😬😬😂😂
Cheers Mick 👍👍

A bit of light hearted mid week entertainment P 😊😊👍👍
hi thanks for the video, i have the same problem, but how did you fit the black plastic into its place? you can't see it in the video.. thanks.
@@giorgiobotta6241 I recorded this a year or 2 ago & unfortunately don’t know what ‘black plastic piece’ you mean??
at minute 7:56 you show your finger the black piece. Ok, I can't get it to fit in the seat.

It wasn’t €25 but it was possible better than 2 week part order & €300 invoice at the end 😂😂
