Google has so many good features, but they don't just have a simple feature that could set a default account easily in a browser.

I tried it but but when I added the other account it gets again auto default
But now in 2024. the "Sign out of all accounts" option is completely gone :0

I am so disappointed in Google. It keeps on defaulting to the First Account and nothing I do changes that.
Yeah, as far as I know, the only way to set the default account is to log in with that account first.
yes it worked, i logged out of all my accounts (by all i mean 3) and only logged in with the one i wanted, than logged into the second and the first one i logged into finally showed as default. ty again anson@@AnsonAlexander

I do have an account that states "default" so I now am wondering if that would make a difference. Am I in more trouble? Google have really been having fun with me. Changing my pictures and everything. I don't know what they're going to do to me next. I think I'm going to try a new default account by creating number five with a new name and picture before they me completely up the wall.
My account has no option of sign out of all accounts. So I don’t know how to change it.

however, why did google set a different account of mine as my default one in the first place, possibly bc I had to open it for a long period of time from this device (?)

I have an Earthlink email address that's connected to my login for Google/RUclips, etc. I want to change that email to my current gmail address, but I'm not able to. It's telling me that other email can't be used or is in use on another account, but I have no idea where

I want to sign in on streamlabs with my brand RUclips but only showing this default account on yhe sign in prompt. I got 2 channels under sam email id one is regular account other one is brand account.

Well, it won't solve all of my gigantic problems with Google and my accounts (so far) but thank you, it's been a huge help. I now need to about an account that google refuses to return to me, that they gave to me twenty years ago. It has everything I've stored. Sometimes, I feel I just can't win. 😂😂
Not working. I did this 3 times but every time I sign into the third account, it becomes the default account. So frustrating. And apparently you have to logoff all accounts not just one. I must be missing something.

I have different problem. If I do as you doing I doesn't work. I have on my email address 3 youtube channels, but my default one is which I set up for my daughter and for my own. So, if I follow you steps there's no option to change it, because there is only one email.
In that case, I believe the only way to change it would be delete the current default but I'm not even sure if that would work. You're only working with one Google account so obviously that is default but I don't believe there is a way to change the default RUclips account when a Google account has multiple.

You should be able to find a way to sign out. Try looking for the button in Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc. until you find it is probably your best bet.

Does this work with android phones?
Yes but this is for using Google account through a browser. To change your Google account on your actual phone, you would have to log out and back in as another user.
Ok, and what about google play services? It says this was downloaded by my schools email, should I uninstall and reinstall with my personal account so I wont get any google play error or shall I just remove my school acount from my android app system settings?

I do appreciate representing humanity but, after all, I am human. The video was less than 4 minutes...
Seriously this was like pulling teeth simply because the title says "how to change your default google account", and he proceeds to explain how to switch between accounts for 2 and a half minute. We all obviously have multiple accounts and how to switch between them otherwise we wouldnt be here in the first place lmao. Some people just like to hear themselves talk I guess.
