Sorry about sound. This was a traumatic edit. My phone completely died, never to be saved - and then my computer died, never to be saved. The footage had weird sounds going on throughout it. Some sound like whispers and laughs. Anyhow - apologies.
🙄
No I love it
A new subscriber from the Yukon (Hi Si👋I learned of you through him) I'm super stoked to have your HUGE archive of really great vlogs to enjoy. (Your mini-me boppin' across the screen makes me smile) I'm enjoying your channel immensely. Cheers🍻 from Pat.
2:16 is the cathode ray tube from televisions when they were 2 feet front to back and took 5 minutes to warm up! The was a good but unusual hunt Kris. Nice bottles.
8:50 The little bone was a small tibia, the main lower leg bone.
9:50 You’re correct, it was a femur, and a rib. But the flat one placed down next to it was a scapula, or shoulder blade. In this case from the right shoulder.
The mandible shown - lower Jaw - is that of a young adult female, I’d say she was approx 18 years old. This is because she has no wisdom teeth present yet and these emerge in the 20s, also the softer angles in the shape of the mandible help to differentiate male and female jaws. The lack of wear on the occlusal - biting - surfaces of the teeth helps to age them as an older individual would have more worn teeth, as does the fact that the 2nd molar is present, which it isn’t in younger individuals.
The pipes are carved out of antlers.
That’s a radius not a fibula… fibula is in the lower leg.
"A Victorian TV?" 😂
Would it be legal to keep the bones, just curious wouldn't want to pick up random bones but curious about the laws
Nope because the bones contain the Black Death aka the bubonic plague
One of my ancestors of 6 generations past was sent to Australia to a penal colony, funny but sad story she was teased repeatedly by some other girls of having been sent away on a prison ship for poisoning people when she hadn't been, then she lost the plot and actually poisoned them, and then got arrested and deported.
I do wonder if it's from her I get my rash decision making process from
??.
Absolutely haunting dude. Thanks for bringing us along. 😮
Respectfully done Kris 👍🏻 See the video that inspired this trip ruclips.net/video/8KFRdl41Dcg/видео.html
Wow loving that high speed action lol. Blimey!!!!
bones of dead irish
Great video as always Kris. Very interesting.
Very interesting Kris. I never knew prison ships were a thing until now. Very sad indeed. I must admit though that like your friend at the end saying he would like to go back (but you wouldn't) I too would find that interesting. If possible even to re-bury those on the island. Great content once again.
Im wondering wtf is pinching the skulls. With how many bones you saw, you should have found a few at least, as you had most large obvious bones around still except those.
Sadly, I’ve since found out. There’s quite a market for human skulls apparently. Horrible 😢
@@Addictedtobleeps thats what i suspected.
Im amazed you didnt recognise that old TV, I guessed tv as soon as i saw it.
This must be a strange place to visit... thanks for sharing it with us.
2.20 the glass thing is the back of an old cathode ray tv tube!
Some cool finds the bones are a sad reminder of the way people were treated hundreds of years ago. Good adventure Kris
A very interesting place dude.
Well that was different.. very cool
I presume you had permission to visit?
Literally explained in the video….
Didn't you watch the video and listen to the words?
Doesn't the UK have laws that protect human remains and burials ?
Of course. In fact, our laws have been copy and pasted around the world - becoming the standard.
But alas, in this instance, erosion wind and there’s not much that can Br done about it
Top vid.
Thanks
The bones are the markers of man’s inhumanity to man. So much for the Christian ethos of caring for the less fortunate.
When in places like that you need eyes like a robbers horse 😊 when finding interesting stuff
Thames estuaries?
I collect human skulls. Hook me up Kris!!
tv screen
Yes!!! I’ve been waiting for this one 🫶🏻
Umm, should I point out that a fibula is actually a lower leg bone, not an arm bone?
