It's always curious how classic Doctor Who companions can somehow return in the modern series and I'm glad that Bonnie as Mel is one of them.
Good coincidence that I'm currently watching trial of a time lord with my parents. I can't wait for us to get to Terror of the Vervoids and be introduced to her again, just in time for her return in 6 or so months time.

Yeah and after that she’s a recurring character in the next series. I believe Mel’s working for UNIT now.
I got to see her live on stage at a Talking Pictures tv live show back in March of this year. I love Doctor Who and Bugsy Malone so I was very happy to see her.
