Thank you for watching this one day guide to beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia! If you are traveling to or from Washington State - be sure to check out my Washington State Travel Guide here: ruclips.net/video/_NJvENbxgPI/видео.html
Good thoughts but most of it is not in Vancouver. The initial few spots are in Squamish, BC. Close to Vancouver but anyone visiting needs to know it's not exactly Vancouver.
Another amazing video. My wife and I will plan a trip to Leavenworth and Vancouver next year because of your videos. We appreciate all that you two do.
Hi Jeanie Marie. Thank you for the video. We went to Vancouver for the Columbus Day weekend and didn’t know what to do until we saw your video driving up from Seattle. The views were amazing and Sea to Sky trip along with the stop was amazing. We also got to see few seals at Jack’s bar. Of course Stanley Park was just stunning. Thank you again.
Wonderful! So glad you had a great time! The sea to sky highway is so beautiful. Glad you got to see the seals too, they are so fun to watch. Thanks for the feedback so happy you enjoyed the trip to Vancouver!
Every time I go to Canada, I always end up in Calgary. I think I need to hit up Vancouver, looks stunning! Your video taught me that Stanley Park is a one lane, one way road and if you miss your stop, you have to drive it all over to take the exit you want...wow!
Actually there’s lots of small parking lots along the way for view points and cafes so you can always stop at one of the parking lots and walk over to the spot you missed!
We are headed to Vancouver for an Alaskan cruise next month and are so excited. Vancouver looks spectacular. Thanks for a wonderful view of Vancouver and the surrounding area!!!
I was in Vancouver and stayed at the Pinnacle hotel. It was awesome exploring downtown and went on B.C Ferries to Victoria Island. And I went back to Saskatoon Saskatchewan. It snowed in B.C 2022.
I’m heading up to Vancouver tomorrow. Excited to drive along highway 99. Will also explore the capilano suspension bridge. I’m very excited , thank you for sharing this 😊
We're heading to WA this July, and this video is soooo helpful! We loved your other video of the 6-day road trip, and will stop at many of the same locations you both stopped at, thanks to your video. These videos are extremely helpful for some of us on the opposite corner of the country (Florida). We can't wait to take in the views! We love the mountains, but live in a state that has none. Now, we are looking to go even further north, to Vancouver. :) LOL Thanks again!
if you had to pick between going to the sea to sky gondola/panorama trail with viewpoint or the capilano suspension bridge and park, which one would you choose? that highway looks beautiful but I think it might be easier to stay closer to the city. heading up there at the end of the month and staying 1 night. thank you for making this video
Hands down the Sea to Sky Gondola! It was so beautiful! Totally understand if you can't make it....but definitely try, that was our favorite. Love it more than Capilano 😊
Excellent video, thank you. My wife and I are heading to Vancouver in a couple of months and are using this video as our guide. You did a wonderful job highlighting the city. However, your video would have been much more engaging if you had been looking at the lens instead of yourself in the viewfinder/monitor... just a thought for future videos. Thank you again!
Im supposed to be traveling to Everett soon for my job for like a week and I've never been to Canada. I wanted to avoid traveling to the city area and see more naturey stuff instead....when you think Canada...you think mountains and nature...so this stuff right here is perfect! Plus wanna try some Maple goodies 😋. Thanks!!
Hi, your video is super helpful! Headed to Vancouver in March! Is the Capilano Bridge worth it if I am visiting the Sea to Sky Gondola suspension bridge?
I love here and I can say the experience from both is different. However, the Cap Bridge is pricey. I've found it a better choice to go to the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge. It's free, though parking is limited so arrive as early as possible. While the Sea to Sky offers amazing mountain, ocean and island views, the Cap and Lynn Canyon give deep river canyons and heavy forest. In Summer, Lynn Canyon also has swimming areas in the river that are a short walk through a gorgeous forest trail after crossing the bridge. I hope that helps ☺
I was thinking of taking the Amtrak from Portland, OR, to Vancouver, I have a silly question, do you think it’s possible to Uber to some of the locations? Or do you have to rent a car to drive there. Thank you!
Born, raised here. To head north on Sea to Sky, you will need to rent a car. As amazing as that drive is (It never gets old for me), skip the car. stay downtown. Uber everywhere downtown for cheap (unless there's surge pricing.... cruises). The Capilano suspension bridge, or Grouse Mountain have bus shuttles (free from downtown) to those spots. Grouse will give you the Gondola experience, the views, Grizzly bears, birds of prey and all the hiking you can handle. As for downtown restaurants.. she says Cactus...... sure, but I suggest Cardero's, go to the bar side for great food and live music on the water. My wife and I will go there on evenings after dinner for apres whatever. Lift also on the water is great. A crazy but special experience is Yasma, kitty corner to Lift. So.... Stanley park as she says is not 17 miles. It's 5.8 miles, and there's a cutout half way to get you back on Georgia St, back into downtown, but yes it's a beautiful park, drive. Plenty of bike / scooter shops, just outside of Stanley Park for rentals. I live right downtown in Coal Harbour, water / mountain views, Harbour Air activity, it's truly breathtaking. If you can get a hotel room with water, mountain views and everything steps out your door. You're as close to "heaven" as it gets.
How? How, did you fit all of those destinations in 1 day....? Do you have a printable guide with time frames you spent at each location? And the fees you had to pay for each park? I want to do this same travel route in one day but im afraid i'll get lost or run out of time.
I live in Vancouver and would find it difficult to see all this in a single day. The Sea to Sky is a half day, minimum, as is Shannon Falls. Stanley Park can be a full day, especially if you take in the Aquarium or take a walk on the seawall around the park. The Capilano Suspension Bridge is lovely and the river and forest are beautiful, but it's also expensive (about $70 Canadian). If you want a better option for the bridge/river/forest combination, try for the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge instead. The only cost is parking. However, parking is limited so the earlier you can arrive, the better. Both of these bridges are in North Vancouver. Another great North Shore location is Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. Again, parking is limited but the park is free. Gorgeous forest trails that wind through the park, most of which will bring you to the Point Atkinson lighthouse at the ocean's edge. A perfect place for a picnic and the chance of spotting seals, whales, otters and eagles are generally good. ☺
I'm not sure about a train. We drove. It's super easy to drive in Canada. You just have to switch your speedometer to KM instead if Miles. Otherwise it's like driving in USA.
In Canada we don't have "Provical Parks". We have Provincial and National Parks. Just with that, there's no need to explain within your video that you're an American, Lol.

Great review! We are headed there in a few weeks and your video really provided a nice overview of the area including the hotel choice. Thanks!!
Great video! I love going to filming locations. I might just have to add this to my list.
Yes! It was neat to see! Even though...it's basically only the outside! LOL but loved having lunch there. Such a pretty location and good food!

Hey i am going to Vancouver next week in February. Is it advisable to go north or should i wait for summers?

Does Canada still require visitors to be vaccinated? Capilano Bridge Park is on my "list"😮
I was thinking of doing this trip. Is there a train option from Seattle?
I'm not sure about a train. We drove. It's super easy to drive in Canada. You just have to switch your speedometer to KM instead if Miles. Otherwise it's like driving in USA.
The train from Seattle is opened and running once there and back daily!
"provical" ? All parks are "provincial" meaning of the province.
How was the parking at the Hyatt/downtown?
Thank you
I thought Canada dropped the vaccine mandates?
They did! The week after we visited! LOL so we just missed it! But it really didn't matter to us.
@@JeanieMarie lol gotcha. I’m planning on visiting there really soon myself . This video was definitely helpful for sure!
@@deontehargraves Thanks for watching! And have fun!
are these parks and areas closed when it snows? winter?
I don't think they close down, BUT double-check directly to make sure!
All parks are opened year round!
Any tent city..??
not me watching this video as a Vancouverite having done absolutely none of these things 💀 👁️👄👁️
Where you able to do all this in one day ?
Correct. We were only there for one day.
How much did yall spend for the day?
Did you use a rental car to drive up to Vancouver from Washington? If so, did you need Canadian insurance?
Yes we used our rental car from WA. No we didn't purchase any additional insurance. But it would be a good idea to look into it.
