54 this week. Didn‘t know about hiding knives though I‘m German. Must be regional or maybe a tradition no longer practiced. I only know the superstition not to give knives as a gift because it will cut the bond between the person giving the gift and the recipient. Anyway. Guessed correctly because I could safely discount the vacuum cleaner. lol Thanks again for the excellent quiz. Tie breaker guess: 52 Edit: I think I vaguely remember that people hid the knives in a household where someone recently died. Much like covering the mirrors.

Great quiz as usual, glad to be back having missed the last half dozen or so while moving to and getting settled in at uni. It was a slow return as first, getting just one of the first four correct before finishing the first round strongly to get 6/10. Apparently the time away has done me good as I recorded my highest ever round 2 score, getting another 7 points. Things got a bit shaky from there on out however, getting 13 in round 3 and just 1 in round 4 though is should've been higher. I may have lost my head as a result as I went on to score 6 and 7 respectively in the last two rounds but it would've been higher if not for mind blanks and stupid guesses. That leaves my final score on my comeback week at 40. I'll blame the rust and look to get back to form for next week by playing through the backlog of missed quizzes. Can't wait for next week's quiz, hope you have a great week Dale. (I'll guess 42 for the tiebreaker, I have fun guessing them anyway even though I'm never near the leaderboard)

I got 48 this week I got all the Halloween questions correct. For the bonus I think you'll score 55. I have a Halloween question for you. Which country started the tradition of dressing in costume for Halloween? It's the Irish Celts. Also for the Frankenstein question it could have also been Frederick as a correct answer because that was the name in Young Frankenstein (a spoof of Frankenstein by Mel Brooks)

I'm a bit late posting this week as have had a busy couple of days. I probably played too soon after being woken up (early) yesterday by the cat and so was a bit off with my effort this week. Still, I'll take the 51 that I managed to cobble together for my score this week, and add in a guess of 46 for the bonus as to the score your team will get.

Great quiz as usual, glad to be back having missed the last half dozen or so while moving to and getting settled in at uni. It was a slow return as first, getting just one of the first four correct before finishing the first round strongly to get 6/10. Apparently the time away has done me good as I recorded my highest ever round 2 score, getting another 7 points. Things got a bit shaky from there on out however, getting 13 in round 3 and just 1 in round 4 though is should've been higher. I may have lost my head as a result as I went on to score 6 and 7 respectively in the last two rounds but it would've been higher if not for mind blanks and stupid guesses. That leaves my final score on my comeback week at 40. I'll blame the rust and look to get back to form for next week by playing through the backlog of missed quizzes. Can't wait for next week's quiz, hope you have a great week Dale. (I'll guess 42 for the tiebreaker, I have fun guessing them anyway even though I'm never near the leaderboard)

My concept of time has flown out the window and my sleep schedule is all over the place (I've literally just woken up about ten minutes before this reply) but I'm having loafs of fun and that's what matters. I got 48 this week I got all the Halloween questions correct. For the bonus I think you'll score 55. I have a Halloween question for you. Which country started the tradition of dressing in costume for Halloween? It's the Irish Celts. Also for the Frankenstein question it could have also been Frederick as a correct answer because that was the name in Young Frankenstein (a spoof of Frankenstein by Mel Brooks)
