Can You Use An Abrasive Cleaning Stick To Clean A Bandsaw Blade?

One thing we’ve always struggled with is making our band saw blades last. And that’s mostly because we use a LOT of Heartpine that has a really high sap content. And that sap just gums the blades (and everything else!) up, til they’re almost unusable.
Today, I thought we’d give the Dura Gold Abrasive Cleaning Stick a try.
An Abrasive Cleaning Stick is typically used in the shop to clean sanding pads and belts. And it’s wonderful for that. But I’m hopeful that it might do the same to our band saw blade.
