BlackSwan is so underrated. They’re so talented. Not to mention their company is has been forward thinking into bringing multi racial groups people into the company ever since Rania debuted. Let’s support Blackswan !!
As you said they've to focus in the korean members to get korea attention and they did this in the beginning (with no good results), so maybe this change is deliberate. For what I can see the company is really focusing in the internacional public now and I think is the best path since this group is such a risky investment (but a worth investment tho because they have potential and demand). In this comeback we already saw a improvement of the album sales, for example. They're also receiving more korean comments now than before and their fanbase abroad is growing ♥
The line distribution was bad for tonight but Judy had the least amount of lines and was also not shown much in the tonight mv. Also to say that they didn't do well because they focused on the korean members is so of putting especially considering that they didn't give the korean members much solo shots in this mv. It sounds as if your saying that they are not marketable so they shouldn't be shown...if they didn't do well its because the song was not palatable not because of the nationality of the members. The people who got the most lines in the tonight song were the lead vocalist who happened to be two of the korean members, and it is to the fault of the company picking a song out of the other member's vocal range. But the mv in tonight did not pan over one memeber disproportionately like they did in this mv, even though the girls weren't given much lines in tonight the camera constantly switched to each member, they still had solo shots. In this mv however, everytime the korean members sang the camera panned away from them and onto the foreign members, which made it feel like Youngheun and Judy were barely given lines. They are a group and they should let every member shine, if they want to keep a long lasting group they need to be able to gain a korean audience, which the member's said they wanted with this comeback, if the mv feels overtly biased towards the foreign members as she said (being a krean person herself), the korean audience may interpret this the wrong way and think the company devalues their korean members and it will discourage them from supporting the group. As for more korean audience, they had a larger korean audience during their debut because they had a lot of press, there are some korean audience now but don't mistake international fans writing in korean as the korean audience, because a good 90 percent of the comments under their post that are written in korean are by international fans and some of these fans pose as korean, but their grammer comes of as translated or awkward so it makes it easy to depict.

It may be a good strategy to focus on the international market since that’s where they got their largest response when they were trying to draw more attention to the Korean members rather than the group’s overall foreignness. The biggest problem I foresee for Black Swan is ultimately that their songs don’t necessarily outshine the fact that people view their members as a gimmick. I think it’s good that the foreign members are doing more in Korean language in this piece - maybe it’s killing two birds because international fans are excited to see non-East Asian members really _doing_ kpop but it also lets Koreans see that they’re learning and working in Korean and not just using the country as a base of operations

Well, it is not multicultural country, so as most of Asian countries. Japan is the top on that category, you can't get Japanese citizenship, almost impossible if you are a foreigner. In Korea, you can get Korean citizenship if you live there long enough. It is not about being open-minded, long as foreigner speaks Korean then it is okay, but most of these foreigner do not speak the language (They memorize and sing it, but don't know how to speak it, these 2 members of Blackswan are good when they sing the song but can't speak Korean.) Unlike America, where many ethnics live together, Asian countries are not like that.
@@grow1820 that is most definitely incorrect both the foreign members speak and understand Korean + more languages. Japanese girls in Twice, Lisa in Blackpink, BamBam..etc. Those idols speak fluently. That is why they can still be popular in Korea. I am not talking about outside of Korea, but become popular in Korea. Getting along with other members is a basic thing, They have to be loved by the general public. so their company already did the mistake with Rania and Alex, by almost treating her like a sidekick. They are probably focusing more on Leia and Fatou on purpose and trying new things for Blackswan, as it is a very unique group already. And youngsters in Korea seem to be more open to diversity in many ways now. Like Chungha backup dancers in Stay Tonight. They use heels and they're men (and seem very not heterosexual), so, not much conservative.
Honestly I feel like a lot of groups in 4th gen don't play it safe anymore. Aespa is another group with half their members not ethnically 100% Korean and their main vocalist is Chinese, a move I don't think I've seen before in kpop. I feel like with this Gen taking risks is important, you have to take a stand on your art and let the public decide if they're willing to get on board or not instead of trying to appeal to them. I think that's why Aespa, NCT127, Stayc, etc are rising so fast. They all made music the gp didn't see coming or had some aspect to their group that was wildly unconventional and proudly displayed it.
I honestly don’t think they showed the international members on purpose it was just the songs flow and riffs and more. Korean People (minus the idols) need to Respect this group and stop being stubborn to change, being conservative is one of them strongly. Idols are ready, is everyone else cause worldwide they will be big if they keep improving.
Even though the foreign members were highlighted more the line distribution was very good and honestly, they are going for the i-fans market instead of the Korean one.

I was trying during 2009 and 2014 to be a star but it always felt like I had to be a step ahead but even then I don’t look fully asian… I look mixed Asian and it was a struggle cause I love who I am but Korea is conservative

It is not about being open-minded, long as foreigner speaks Korean then it is okay, but most of these foreigner do not speak the language
(They memorize and sing it, but don't know how to speak it, these 2 members of Blackswan are good when they sing the song but can't speak Korean.)
Unlike America, where many ethnics live together, Asian countries are not like that.
@@grow1820 the Leia speaks korean well
@@grow1820 that is most definitely incorrect both the foreign members speak and understand Korean + more languages. I’ve been on their live videos (I’m American speaking ENGLISH) and have literally no idea what they’re saying….the two Koreans and the 2 foreigners get along great because they understand eachother. Don’t speak about things you don’t know.
@@phiapetre1400 Hey I am watching the interview right now, the black girl can't even answer the question so Korean girl answered for her. That is not going to be working if they want to be successful. Just because you think they can speak, doesn't mean they really can speak it. The girl should be able to speak good Korean.
If they want to be on top of the chart. Since we are living in covid-19 era, there aren't many concerts, so they have to go on radio, TV shows. But if they can't speak fluently, their chances will be low.
@@grow1820 Lmao Okayy so you watched one video where the “Black girl” (you had stated foreigners before, but ofc you’re focused on the “black girl”)…says a lot. But anyways you watched one video where she wasn’t able to answer a question….one question according to you 😂😂 just skipped over every other interview she’s had, every other conversation she’s had with other Koreans…but the “black girl” couldn’t answer one question…so what? What about the other questions did she answer? Or did you focus on that one instance to prove your point? And Leia what happened to her? Did you happen to find an instance where she didn’t answer one question as well?
The song sounds better live honestly, it’s more in tune
I know what you mean. I prefer the live performances of close to me vocal wise, but I like the music video visual wise.
Yeah I think their engineer really dropped the ball mixing the song. The lives so so much better than the studio version.
Youngheun was from Stellar you guys, remember the girl group whowere forced to do sexy and provocative concepts even though they didn't want to? She redebut with Blackswan ✨💖
What I like the most about this music video is that the positions of the members are very fair. Leia is the Visual, so she get the most screen time and close ups, Fatou is the main rapper, so, all the rap is focused on her. YoungHeon and Judy in the chorus cause they are respectively Main vocal and Lead Vocal. It was fair..
Yaaaasss, thank you for reacted to them, this comecback need to be known, and im with you, im so ready for it!
그들은 귀엽고 재능이 있습니다! 그들을 지원합시다! 이것은 아이돌 챔프에 대한 투표입니다. 소녀들을 도와주세요. 그들은 가치가 있습니다. GO GO BLACKSWAN!!!
THEY ARE CUTE AND TALENT! LET'S SUPPORT THEM! THIS IS VOTED ON IDOL CHAMP. HELP THE GIRLS. THEY DESERVE.
Thank you for this reaction! Brazil here 🇧🇷
They have a lot potential
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 e ver a Fatou cantando rap e sempre incrível
I got a boy é um grande exemplo.
so their company already did the mistake with Rania and Alex, by almost treating her like a sidekick.
Thank you for reacting! Love from Brasil ❤️❤️🇧🇷🇧🇷
YES LEIA! Show them the brazilian power! 🇧🇷♥️
Finally Sera!!! Thank you for react to BLACKSWAN
Obrigada por reagir a BlackSwan 💖
Thank you very much for reacting to Close to me 😍💙
You made such great points on the video Sera! Nice! Also, loved the fact that you were so into Fatou!
They all made music the gp didn't see coming or had some aspect to their group that was wildly unconventional and proudly displayed it.
this song is really good and i love their attitude and charisma
Uh Oh! Another deep voiced rapper to make Sera's heart race! 💓
I really only have focused on the foreigners this comeback they really gave them shine! And I'm loving it!
Leia mostrando o seu potencial representando o Brasil 💜💖
MV was directed by 이사강
Even though the foreign members were highlighted more the line distribution was very good and honestly, they are going for the i-fans market instead of the Korean one.
정말이지충격이네요.💖 센셰이션이라고봅니다.또다른2세대케이팦을보는것같아요.멋진데요.😍 👍
Eu amo esse grupo
perfeita!!! 💖🇧🇷
Yes!!!! I love your react. Love you girl.
I enjoyed this reaction video, i hope that there will be as many reaction video in the future
Tysm for reacting 💟 Koreans are super supportive it’s just some international NON Korean/Asian fans hating on them, they are all super talented and pretty! Also I think the foreign members were highlighted this comeback because in debut they didn’t have much lines but I’m sure next comeback korean members will stand out more plus Judy (Korean with bangs) definitely stood out more in this comeback and surprised us with her stable vocals 🥳
I love you Sera💖💖💖 you're the best talking about kpop and music videos
그들은 너무 예쁘다
That prison theme makes me think of OOMM by 3YE
하나는 모든 것을 정복한 브라질 여왕 🇧🇷🇧🇷🥰🥰🥰🥰
와 이번에 잘나왔네
I was so hoping you would react to this mv! Thank you!! Love your reaction as always :)
Look I really dont think they need the Korean Market K-POP is alot more International now these young lady's are talented. If the United States can open there minds and heart's for Groups like BTS and BlackPink I hope the Korean public will do the same. I love your Reactions keep it going Ryu
They tried that with their debut it didn't help and their international fans want the focus on the both of them so they have to do what the fans want.
Thank you for your reaction Sera you're amazing! 💖💖
Great video Sera! Thank you for the reaction!
I enjoy this song the most out of all theirs
STAN BLACK SWAN
QUEEN LOONA JUST RELEASED THEIR MV FOR HULA HOOP (JAPAN DEBUT)
This is a great video and song. I hope they are judged on this an not their nationality. Loved that you talked about that. Have a great day pretty lady.
ELAS ARRASAM MUITO AAAAAAAA!!!!
They should really have two comebacks a year and see how both releases are received by the public. One to Korean market and the other one to abroad audiences
They are adding a new member so maybe the dynamic of the group will change a bit. I think Judy's visual is so underrated.
I love this song
Thank you for reacting to Close To Me!! Yes this MV was directed by Zany Bros Lee Sagan
Thank you for reacting the girls ❤️
honestly BS is not focusing on the Korean market, but the western market
세라언니! 엘라스트의 악연도 리뷰해주세요!ㅠㅠㅠ 항상 잘보고 있어요❤
I hope one day you can interview them!
I love you Sera and stay amazing!
im conflicted to be honest
i feel like a lot of the melodies were out of their range and so the producers did a lot to make it sound natural but it didnt
just a LOT of vocal tampering that kinda makes their voices sound off key in comparison to the backing
i agree and noticed that too
yeah imo the verses ( the beginning and after chorus ) doesn't sound too good but the prechorus, rap and the chorus is nice
Yeah vocals leia and Fatou are off
Listen to the live
@@hermionesings yes, the live is ALOTTT better, the producer really messed their voices up 😢
Queria só entender os comentários dela 😓
i love sera ryu
When I was younger I wanted to do kpop but I’m only half Asian so I had to deal with lots of hate and discrimination at times…. I was trying during 2009 and 2014 to be a star but it always felt like I had to be a step ahead but even then I don’t look fully asian… I look mixed Asian and it was a struggle cause I love who I am but Korea is conservative
Half Koreans have no problem and often prefer than full Korean in entertainment industry now.
@@grow1820 my father is Chinese Korean 😊 very proud , back then was hard 😅
Thank you ❤
I think the live music is better, but I don't know why. Their vocals look more clean I think. Beside it, I liked the music. The MV could've used better the outfits and scenarios but I think they are on the way.
Thanks for reacting to the girls song
thank you
Leia, my Brazilian queen 😍😍😍🇧🇷
Sera I'm your fan , Thank you for Reaction this MV. ❤
Will you check Loona latest mv for their japanese debut? It's fill with nostalgic feelings

Might be a weird comment but I love your sweater!
Have you seen their new song karma
Wow 🔥🔥
I LOVE YOU SERA ❤❤❤❤
How about try T-Pop as well, Sera? 4EVE just released their new single "Booty Bomb" You should try!! They are only less than 2 years old group but now they are basically front runner of T-Pop girl group!! Their previous singles are "Oohlala" and "Like A Blink"
Love it!!
I think the Korean girls got a lot of shine in the first video but more importantly i like how fully incorporated the foreign girls are as thier previous incarnation used the foreigness as a gimmick
I had no idea they came back. Their company really needs to have better pr.
She's good....yeah I felt that
They weren't ready for Chocolat's debut back then and I don't think they are ready for blackswan now
I loved Chocolat! They might not be ready, but they need to be. So many people of different race/ethnicity want to be in Kpop now.
I love them
they did so good🤍🖤
My bias is Judy, fatou and youngheun
