Lovely stuff decaying boats are always fascinating. Nice video too. Don't know how I missed this yesterday, I remember thinking on Thursday night " ooh good there will be a new Em and Stu video in the morning" next thing it is Saturday.
Haha now worries Raymond, just a little explore this week as lockdown is making it increasingly difficult to put together anything really decent but not long now until the end of the month when we can travel a little further and explore properly again, fingers crossed. Thanks for watching 👍😊
Loving the drone footage! It is such a shame when you see, as you say, someone's once pride and joy, being devoured by nature's elements. So sad. Keep up the good work and stay safe. 👍
Thanks Phillip, yes we always wonder how all these boats come to be just left like this but it doesn't take long for nature to reclaim them.. Thanks for watching 😊
Stu the angels your giving us with the drone are great love it. Nice to see Em lovely boats shame to see them looking a bit battered hope your both ok .
Thanks Rob, we are really enjoying getting the drone footage as it makes such a big difference to the videos, especially little ones like this which wouldn't be worth filming without the drone. Thanks for watching, we are both good thanks, hope u are too 😊
@@ExploringWithEmAndStu Hello I really enjoyed the vid today the drone u can cover so much ground with it can't wait for the next vid I am good glad your both ok 😊👍
I paddle my kayaks around there quite a bit, nice vid guys, I like the coil of pipe on the wood burner to give hot water., .... I need a drone 😭 Stay negative 👍 Atb Bruce
Thanks for watching Bruce, we are hoping to get our kayaks on the waters around there this summer if possible. The drone is a great asset to our videos so would definitely recommend getting one. ATB Em and Stu 😊👍
I live in the area of these old boats and up until fairly recently the one you were on and in was owned by someone who I did meet a few years ago and may very well still be. obviously as you can see it has been left to fall apart
Yes we can never understand why people just leave boats like this, its amazing sometimes how many abandoned ones are just sitting about.. Thanks for watching 😊 👍
Many people who buy wooden boats fail to appreciate the amount of work it takes to maintain them. There are no days off. For every hour spent on the water ten are spent sanding, varnishing, repainting, in an endless cycle. A boat owner battles against the seasons, the elements and the impact of time on materials with finite lifespans. A lapse in maintenance, even for a short period, will trigger a spiral of decay that invariably proves terminal.
I love old wooden boats. Its sad to see them lying there forgotten and unloved.
We always wonder how someone can just abandon boats like this, some of the ones we see still look good enough to use and must be worth a few quid.. 🤔
Such an interesting vlog, love the beer bottle on the top of the boat. Really enjoyable watch.
Thank you we enjoyed the day 😊

Thank you, we appreciate the tip as we often struggle to know where we can launch the Kayaks from 👍

At least abandoned wooden boats rot and eventually disappear but the fibreglass ones are going to be a problem!
