Being adaptive in favor of trends that led to a plummeting industry is terrible advice. Nicki has A QUARTER BILLION followers on social media and only moved 200,000 units including streaming equivalencies which is a joke given that no other generation of artists got the benefit of translating what is essentially glorified satellite radio sales into purchases of an album. Their method is dying and is unsustainable. The pressure will only increase on artists to keep folks entertained.
Interesting opinion considering she broke over 7 records with her new album and spotify took out 100k from first week sales. 2nd week she did another 100k. Highest for any female rapper in years.

Honestly to be able to do over 200k with no radio or play listing in its first week and no music video or grand rollout. With 92000 in pure sales alone! Put some respect on that lady’s name. There are big name artist making 6k and 10 k pure sales. She did great. Followers do not equal sales. Hip hop is on a decline anfor her to push 228k with some of her sales (100k) filtered is phenomenal. She also broke Spotify streaming record with PF2.
