Noartist So true. This current Administration under Trump is extremely corrupt. It has divided the country badly though it seems to be coming together a little more as of late with the impeachment inquiry.
As seen here, people are coming together to fight against a very Anti-American administration. An administration who lies about immigrants being criminals when the statistics prove that Americans are statistically more likely to be criminals then immigrants, illegal or not. The least likely of the three to be criminal is, in fact, illegal immigrants. And this is based on percentages, not amount of crime period.
It is necessary to fact check such an administration, or any really. I frequently use various fact checking websites, read between the lines, look up things Trump has said in the past that contradict what he says now, look up information on what he’s talking about in order to see whether he is being truthful or not. The majority of the time when something seems iffy, it usually is.
The man frequently lies about things such as where his father was born, that Mexico will pay for the boarder wall, that he didn’t ask China or Ukraine to investigate his political rival in order to win the 2020 election despite the fact that it is illegal to do so and he provided the proof of his request for that favour while he withheld aid to Ukraine and asked China on national tv to do so. Just because neither did what he asked does not mean he didn’t ask for it.
If we said that something is only illegal if you succeed then most criminals wouldn’t be in jail because they wouldn’t be criminals. Oh, you tried to rob a bank but didn’t succeed. Be on your way. Oh, you tried to murder someone and didn’t manage to kill them. You’re free to go. You tried to rape a woman but you got caught before you could get to the good part. That’s ok. At least you don’t go to jail for it cause you didn’t actually do it. Does that not sound ludicrous to you?
This is a man who doesn’t even have respect for his own base. A base he has called dumb enough to vote for him, uneducated (he loves the uneducated and yes he wasn’t referring to all of them but it’s still something a person who likes you wouldn’t say. He said it because he thinks he won because of stupid republicans) and so horrible as to still vote for him if he shot and murdered someone in front of the White House. He thinks his base is dumb, uneducated and violent. He has even threatened that if he didn’t win the election that his voters would basically become violent. These are all things I’ve actually seen him say with my own eyes.

We who live in Republican districts and/or states should all be contacting our congresspeople and senators to tell them what their constituents want.
