I believe Marilyn Monroe wanted for her fans never to forget her. She had stated that she never had a family to comfort with. After her death, she is one of the top money makers. If only she was earning this kind of money when she was alive, she was a struggling actress trying to make it in Hollywood. I do believe if she would have stayed alive, she would have been doing extremely well with her movies, and as a movie director. Unfortunately, she died before earning her high earnings. Darn!!
As a photographer, maybee i would have been working with her, way before all the plasticsurgery, and all that heavy make-up. She was not very natural photogenic, yet a few fotographers managde to make her relax, and got some gorgeous iconic pictures in return. This is not any of them! Thank's for sharing!

Near then end of her life Marilyn had lost too much weight. I've also thought she was too thin. This is just a guess on my part but maybe it was a mix of choosing to lose some weight for working on her movie; having had her gall bladder removed; being ill and maybe also there was some weight loss from the stress Marilyn was under.
Her beauty and her incredible ability to project, make her utterly unforgettable and irreplaceable.
