There is an issue with the route. When retrieving data from a social network, you search for a user based on their email. However, what if an attacker created a fake social network account using a genuine user's email in your system?
I have one question. I created the front in next.js and laravel is only used for the api. Using laravel Sanctum for authentication. Now I want to use Facebook and Google login in my application. I want the user to register and login through those Social Media credentials in my own application. How I should do this?
A really great video, and it helps me a lot to understand socialite, although one thing is still missing, how could I use it with passport/api based authentication
Hello Andrew, in production I receive the following error: Laravel\Socialite\Two\InvalidStateException and vendor/laravel/socialite/src/Two/AbstractProvider.php:209. I tried all kinds of solutions from different forums and can't find the solution. Can you think of what it could be?
I encountered the same error as well. Consequently, I realized that it occurs when I click on the authorization once and then click the "Back" button in the browser, attempting to log in again. However, if I access the authorization form using a clean URL, everything works correctly.
WOw. this video clearly provide how to use this package with other oauth providers . I want to use passport for authentication (which I am using). this video will help me with login from facebook and google. but my app is using Reactjs as frontend and I am thinking about security.
