The Yamaha PW50 is a staple in the kids dirt bike world and is well-known for having a long lifespan. But these bikes do require some maintenance to stay running their best. Disassembling and cleaning out the exhaust spark arrestor should be done every 6 months as a part of regular maintenance. In this video Charles shows how to service and clean the spark arrestor in a Yamaha PW50 exhaust. This process will be the same for all model year Yamaha PW50 dirt bikes.

Yes, it may run better and it will sound better with a complete exhaust.
