Hoooooly shit the workflow. "play something first, worry about the sound later." One of my favorite things in this world is to see someone who REALLY knows their rig down to the individual TRS cabling take it through its paces, and whenever I do that what always sticks out is the sheer decision-making speed. It's like watching someone speedrun the DAW session you've been working on since 2017.
"never rush into things. let the sound grow and you with it" this line alone is invaluable for techno. great video! i like the setup you got going with the green screen too! oh and dont forget to change that cable! :P
Such great content, even years later. I wasn’t sure about the clap but then you detuned it and it sat great in the mix. So many gems in this. Thank you!!
I do love the RUclips algorithm sometimes. It has presented gold. Subbed immediately. I work entirely in the box but have still learnt so much with your arrangements.
love your tip on drum selection too. makes me feel better to sticking to the the 5 kicks that like. I will fatten them up sometimes with a sub and / or rumble depending on the tempo.
Just watching this again.....so crazy....!!!! Really enjoyed the way you flip that piano sample into the groove...love the way you dealt with the hand clap....on evey beat....really cool...and also edited the attck on the clap to make it softer... Super!!!
Simple yet effective I guess. If we can keep stuff simple, it will be more fun to make music. Thanks for watching bruv! Did you guys make it late in the discord chat?
I’m honestly so happy that I stumbled upon your channel! Your knowledge and advice is so on point and is the exact type of stuff that I need to hear! I’ve just left a comment on your Drumcode video asking a question so hopefully you can pour some wisdom on my newbie-ness. Happy Jamming! ;)
Been so caught up with fixing doorframes, refurbing front porch, composting, cooking, family I haven't turned the synth suitcases on for a week. Gagging for it and this video is joyfully inspiring.
Another great segment, AK! Keeps me motivated to not zone-out on one or 2 things, or over do it with too many things, but instead keep morphing into the next "track" when jamming out live. Cheers!

This is great. I'll be doing mine all in the box with controllers mostly (yeah I know), but watching your flow through this - and having you talk us through it - is a really good insight inhto the process. Thanks!
Excellent content man, subbed! 👊 i feel like many producers are over obsessed sometimes with specific sounds and characters of the different categorizations of the sub genres, trying to imitate this or that sound that they forget to enjoy in the process and just express their vibes and feelings into the music they create. Loved your jam! 🙌
Just discovered this channel. Liked 👍 and Subscribed. I got my start on C64 in 1987 writing SID tunes, then moved on to Amiga and Impulse Tracker, and recently switched from DAW to using Polyend Tracker and Polyend Seq to go dawless. Fun times!

One of the things I find irritating is that while people who make tutorials tend to show you how they implement the decisions they make, they rarely talk about why they make the decisions they do. This was really useful. Subbed.
Honestly, I don’t use the groove settings but rather place notes strategically within a pattern. Besides that every brand has its Owen groove signature, also midi chains invoke some sort of ‘lag’. I prefer to look at the different boxes and how their sound behaves once they receive a trigger signal and determine how I will implement note placement and sequencing. Hope this is helpful
