- The next big advance in cancer treatment could be a vaccine that can shrink tumors and stop cancer from coming back. Among the targets for the experimental shots: melanoma, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer and lung cancer. Ditto. I was diagnosed with cancer mid-October 2022 and opted for alternative treatment instead, so change of lifestyle. I have no regrets. I used to get regular flu shots and believe in medicine. Over the years I've learned some hard truths. Post 2020 my trust for the medical/pharmaceutical industry has completely gone.
