Currently a quarter of the way through and I've never had so much anxiety watching jack almost click the wrong answer, then pick the right answers for the wrong reasons😂😂😂
Instead of judging Jack, I’ll tell you what I did yesterday. I woke up, ate some cereal and went to a lake. We paddled up the river and floated back. After that we went to Panda Express and got a really good meal.
That at first brought back a memory of me being bullied in school 😅 And then I was amazed on how different people can think/solve the same problems I wonder if jack would've had enough time, if he didn't explain his thought process to us
yeah, the different ways to solve some of the problems actually threw me off cause I was going in a completely different direction - yet most of the times we ended up with the same solution
I also got bullied in school. I was the smart kid and always knew the answer. The school bully was in my class, but my friends always wanted to copy my homework, but I never had homework. I was also amazed that people could solve the same problems that I did (when I was in third grade I asked for seventh grade math) and I also wonder, if jack had enough time, he would get higher. I never told my parents because they thought that I was faking. I hated school as a kid but now I’m more smart than da Vinci.
Interesting to see the XOR logic operations integrated. For those wondering, XOR is when you have 2 inputs, and 1 output, only one of the inputs can be true at a time to get true in the ooutput. When both inputs are true, the output is false.
@@randomcoder5, In my opinion, he did worse than average, most of the questions he was struggling with were either just him rotating the shape or the same pattern where you combine two of them, but remove lines that would be doubled.
It's really interesting to see how differently we determine the answers. I am constantly looking for patterns and if something doesn't make sense I can find the problem quite quickly. It's also interesting to see Jack's thought process and how he gets to the answers. Edit: It also became increasingly more annoying when he said that the lines didn't 'add up' to the shapes when they did, it was just that you had to remove any overlapping lines instead of still including them
Yeah, there were multiple instances like that in the later questions, where he was actually talking about the right reasons, but then dismissing them as not being there, when they were xD
As a teacher, I suspect your actual IQ is significantly higher than 105. You do an excellent job of explaining your thought process is an important part of intelligence. There are also many things that can be interpreted different ways, and just because a test says one answer is "right" doesn't mean that's the only right answer.
A lot of those ones with the lines, you failed to see that if two lines overlap when you combine them, they eliminate each other (basically a binary XOR)
Yeah 80% of them came down to about 3 patterns which he failed to identify, once you've got those you can get most of them although there's a few tricky outliers
Indeed I wasted 10 minutes working out the first binary XOR problem, around question 21-23 perhaps. Once I saw that they were using XOR, it was pretty straight forward thereafter. Still 118 isn't too shabby with 10 minutes wasted. Matthew Groom Chosen By God. (The real God, nothing to do with religion which is wrong)

One moment Jack is like "Smartness is such a broad spectrum, it depends what you are basing intelligence on. There is so to think about." And another moment he is like "Ultimately it is pointless because one day we will be dead..."
I got 135, Jack looked at the rows too much I found, especially with the hard ones looking at the columns helped a lot more. Using addition and subtraction and just what wasn't on a row got me through 3 quarters of the questions, the others required a but of hard thought or I just found them impossible.
@@RIPno4m3 Lol I'm smart but lazy, I have an almost photographic memory but I have no done anything remotely school related for fun. I can not study at all for tests and still get in the top 10% in Year 9
Yeah, he looked at the box as a whole instead of 3 separate patterns, the first 2 being there to help him figure out the third. Also, nice! I got 136 so we're close 😃
7:37 it's B. Looking at the middle row, it's black, white, then striped. This goes with the rest, including rows, since they have at least one of each. Also, the diaganlas are always teh same color, in one way. We can also see that the direction changes 90 degrese to the right in the row and collom, so this will give the answer B. We can check it by seing the middle diaganal is white. Also, the collom and row are without the white, so it has to be A, B, or F. Next, we can cross off A since it is already used in the middle collom and row with the missing peice. It always turns right 90 degrese. And since it turns 90 degrese to the right, it changes to B.
It's very interesting to see how people approach things differently. I feel like a lot of the answers were a lot easier if you just looked at rotation or the movement of one shape along a direction, rather than counting how many of everything there was. Well done though!
I took some official IQ test in like 3rd grade to be placed in a gifted program. I got 126 then, and I've taken others before and gotten up to 138. IQ tests are kind of scams though lol

i got 131, which im not surprised about because when i was taking my official autism assessment part of the diagnosis process was a cognitive skills test and the tester said i scored extremely above average on it and im so proud of myself about it
5:59 its a. Why? Well, if you look at the middle row, it goes top left black, top right black, then bottem right grey. This makes the triangle rotate 90 degrese every square, going left. this is fliped going down, too. Also, the diagonals are always the same, so it has to be A. Since the bottom row started with a grey box, it cant be grey. This can be checked the with right collom, since it already has grey too. Then, the middle square on the bottom row is on the top left, which makes it top right for the next one. And for the collom, since it's opposite, the grey bottom right turns into black top right, since there is one grey per 3 squares, and it is filped from the rows. You can also see the diaganal, which is A. Since of this, It has to be A.
Jack for question20 you have to add up this two on the left and decide those lines that are twice in the image so we can get the left same for the question 21 and 24 and 26 and 28
I love how Jack doesn't notice the clear rotation pattern in most exercises. In some the solution is just that horizontally every object is just the previous one rotated 90 degrees to the right.
I got 110 and I feel pretty proud of that, even tho I know those test can't be 100% accurate. Cause in the end I got tired and didn't have the energy to think about it anymore.. Besides that there's much more than those 'squares' that contribute to your intelligence level.

ok so i took this and got 125, which i don't deem too impressive as i struggled for all of the ending questions and also ran out of time. I also think IQ can't be measured meaningfully and IQ tests do not matter. Saying that, I still wanna point some things out about Jack's taking of the test: Jack seems to completely default to counting, and numbers. Doesn't look for a visual pattern until numbers ultimately fail. This is in complete opposition to me, counting the things are my last resort and I do think that aided me a lot in this test because numbers scarcely mattered. For example, there's a running pattern this test likes to use, it first appears at question 20: 9:02 . The pattern here is purely visual. The first two images add up to create the third. But any lines that overlap you take away. Simple as. So the answer would have been A Another thing is that Jack just doesn't really take rotation into account? Or he does, but just doesn't say it out loud so I can't tell. 4:15 for example, he looks at the pattern of where the square is in that vertical row each time. When I personally focused on the square rotating clockwise. Not the biggest of differences bc it gets you the same answer either way, it's just interesting to me. And this is the case for every question involving rotation. Jack analyses the patterns of the locations when I would simply see "oh its rotating anticlockwise ok". Just a cool distinction of how Jack analyses with facts and locations and numericals, whereas I personally just look at the visuals. Which again I feel helped me more than the other method, which I do find unfair! It's why IQ tests are kinda just a bit dumb and not a real measure of intelligence
