I agree with you that for a 'get out of trouble ' kit it is fine. The hose and the leads are a bit short though as you say. Thanks for sharing this video Steve. 👍
That is a brilliant little thing to get you out of trouble. Obviously it's not going to be good enough for daily use, however if it gets you out of trouble, it's done it's job.
I took a chance and bought a similar unknown brand from Amazon three years ago with no reviews. The rear tyres on my car loose over 10 pounds pressure every week so it gets regular use. The output connector does get very hot but it works well enough and we once started a v8 Jaguar with a flat battery using it. I recharge it after every use with a USB phone charger for a few hours. Recently it started leaking air which affected type inflation. I stripped it down and re-sealed the internal pump connection with plumber's PTFE tape and that fixed it. I guess the leak was cause by the extreme heat ithe pump creates. I was surprised to see how small the internal battery was. I carry it in the car with me and would not want to be without it or something similar!
I'm concerned about the loose whatever, the heat where it shouldn't be, the lack of swivel or whatever caused the spinning it to remove and the tiny low compression engine I don't have. Further testing required?
The little blue air compressors I usually use have fans on the motors, I did not see any venting on this unit for a fan. Between the battery, the motor, and the compressor that is a lot of heat. It wasn't too bad after the first tire, but what I was putting it through would have been a torture test for it. Like I said it would be great for an emergency when you need to do one tire or one jump start but it is not good for continuous use.
@@ThisWeekWithCars True, the price wasn't bad either and I'll admit I'm slightly biased as I've had five combination compressor/jump packs fail from pumping up lawn tractor tires to 14 psi. Finally got one built on a Tuesday apparently.
I just looked on my computer and it says in stock for me, it must be unavailable in your area. amzn.to/3nQKojX maybe one of these will work in your area.
Well Steve, I was impressed with both your video and the little appliance. But your video showed the capabilities very well. What price range was it in? Cheers
Looks like a great bit of kit, handy for the garage if I have a flat tyre or battery.
Let’s see more on the new TR7!
First I need to find some old tires to fit to it because they don't hold any air and I can't move it around easily.

That's very useful keep in the car.
Pretty handy for a hundred bucks. Especially if it saves the day
I definitely like the size, lights and jumping power. Tools just keep better and better.
Interesting to see they're sold-out now, although I was surprised to see the $140 price on it.
Thanks Steve, I just may purchase to keep for an emergency! Thanks for the review!
instructions say let it cool down!
Probably but inflating all four tires on a car that has been in storage is not an unreasonable expectation.
@@ThisWeekWithCars apparently it is for this charger, that's why it got too hot!

Thanks for all that information.
That thing would really be handy. Wonder how long it will stay charged stored in your trunk?
I would imagine you could get by with charging it once a year.
Did you ever figure out what the loose piece was?
In stock $125.

After inflating four tires, I’d like to see it start a big block Chevrolet or Ford.
It would have no problem doing that.
@@ThisWeekWithCars I hope so. A BBC will have a LOT more drag than those little 1,000 cc engines.
That's a pretty impressive device, Steve, thanks for the heads-up! FYI Amazon are showing this product as unavailable at this time....
Thanks I’ll try to find another link
