@@emmanuelasamoahadjei3759 yea? and it was a mistake because they are using actors again for mocap and the fighting animations are better then ever because of it. also a lot of the 2D sprites hold up today wile only the 3d modals in X and up look good.

That's because those are real people, they hired 2 actors to dress up like Liu Kang, and videotaped them doing those moves. Then the footage of the 2 Liu Kang actors from those tapes, were digitized into the game.
I love how he went from a mobile fighting stance in Mk11 to a stationary defensive stance in MK1
That goes for pretty much all his stances before being a god to. Seems that hes changed ever since the god/thunder/raiden powers

The MK3 and MK11 are the best. MK3 and MK2 just has that feeling to it. It’s just nostalgically atmospheric. And MK11’s Liu Kang is just the best model of that character.

I completely agree with MK3 Liu Kang. So nostalgic and the best hands down. But I'm really liking his design in MK1. The mixture of the blue lightning and red flames on his arms along with the golden eyes looks awesome.

The reason he looked different in MK1 is because he was supposed to look more like a Monk. This is why his cartwheel fatality does not make the screen dark unlike the other fatalities.

The 1st and 2nd one still appear to have the most REAL PERSON appeal than the rest. Thats what it was in the early 90s, When that first MK hit the arcade and people saw how real the characters looked. At that time it was like HOLY SH*T it was friggin amazing man. When part 2 came out.. Now THAT WAS A BIG FN DEAL.. To have been playing in the arcades at that time was incredible. Tons of people just watching people play, would put your querter up on the screen to mark your turn cause there would be like 7-8 people there. THAT WAS AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE. THANKS ED BOON
Yeah, MK2 was peak MK. Everyone was playing it. Now, it's a smaller clique and the characters are just rehashed gamey engine generations, not motion capture realism.
